Well we don't know that he is not stupid, we know that he bearly made it thru university, tried Engineering and couldn't handle it, couldn't hold down a job for long,,, one would certainly question his abilities if nothing else.

^ *barely*

Justin Trudeau has a B Ed from UBC and a B A. from McGill. He stopped his education to run for the Liberal leadership.
It would be good Durry if you actually read about a subject before you posted on it.

Do not blame his education for making that flippant comment on the Ukraine.
He has a history of making dumb a-s-s- remarks.

That don't make them smart. Just able to memorize and regurgitate from a bunch of books.
We have the same problem with engineers. Very few have common sense to go along with their book learning. If you ever find one pay him well.

There's differnet kind of engineers. I can't fix a toaster. But I'm unbelievable at math. Other ones are more common sense oriented. And lot of times it's not the engineer or contractor is useless, it's just they don't have an appreciation for each others jobs. But you're right--if you find an enigneer that works welll with contractors, pay hime well!

Academic ability and common sense(AKA horse sense) almost never go together. That is largely why those three clowns were such piss poor leaders.

In that case Justin should be a natural. Apparently he;'s dumb as a post. ha ha ha

B Ed and BA, and with these elementary degrees, he is supposed to know how to manage a country the size of Canada with a multi Trillion dollar economy??

With those degrees he probably isn't even qualified to run a Mc Donald's !!!!

If he was smart and wanted to get into government leadership, he should have stayed in university and taken Law or a Masters Economics!
Not very bright this dude!!

What are YOUR credentials?

Well, I am a very highly qualified person in my field, but since I'm not running for political office, I guess it's non of your business !!
But I know enough to know that managing a company or country takes more than just an advanced high school degree. You only have to look at the past successful PMs to see that.

He matured and honed his political skills in the west!!
He's a Westerner now!!

He was FORTY YEARS OLD.

Gimme a break.

His B'A' is in English....literature I believe. Lovely, but hardly relevant to a political career.

Also, I am absolutely unimpressed with a B.Ed, as is anyone with a functioning intellect that ever spent any time with education faculty.

That said, he apologized for the Ukraine crack, the crack was made at the end of a couple of minutes of perfectly reasonable opinion on the subject.....we should just add it to the list of gaffes and move on.

I'm sure Trudeau is a lot of things but you must know he is not stupid.

I'm sorry, Juan, but yeah, he is.

Maybe shallow is a better description than stupid, but he has never dealt with life, and has never had the opportunity to deal with hard lessons............his silver-spoon existence (and his inheritance) has left him flippant, without principles, simply a leaf blowing in the breeze.

A cow is qualified in her field too....

Point is when one scoffs at letters behind a name, one should be, at the very least, better qualified.

I think you also have to add his lack of managerial ability to manage this gaff after he made it. After screwing it up for two days he finally came out and apologized .

Do you consider me a westerner, going on 18 years here, after retiring from the military, worked for a western company 3 years, then an eastern Canadian multinational, going on 11 years?

Being a westerner isn't really accurate. There are a great many people in Vancouver that would dearly love to be more like Toronto, without the weather. Similarly there are many rural people all across the country that share many views and a common loathing of city slickers.

Having university degrees of any kind does not necessarily guarantee a good PM or even a good politician. Many very good business managers have no university education and started out in sales. Being a good politician is an art form that requires good managerial skills, not years of polishing a seat in school.

Well in my estimation any man who prostitutes himself before ill gotten power and wealth for fifteen minutes of fame is stupid. He could be free but he'd rather lick the boots of the enemies of mankind, and he also believes in global warming so I'm reasonably sure he's a photogenic retard the powerful elements will ride into office. Smart good people get stuck in the filters.

People skills should be part of the resumé. There hasn't been a PM with good ones in a long while.

But it is OK to marginalize the deaths of 60 - 100 million natives of the Americas. Yay for our side! Aren't we civilized?
Man it must be nice to be so decadent that you have time to get your knickers in a knot over trivialities.
How many did you kill ? Did you save the scalps ?
