Y'know, when you think about it, "Cecil" is kind of a pansy name for a lion. Puts a body in mind of an impotent Britisher.

Probably just as well he's dead.

Northern Ontario,
Unconditional dependence.
You must have heard the old wives tale about dogs eating grass in the spring and summer and get sick because they need to purge or some other reason....
Ask any vet and he'll tell you it's because to them it smells good...
You know about dogs .....If it smells good and they can't eat it or screw it, they'll shït or pee on it............

read the article I posted.

Humanizing animals is ridiculous.

It's not about humanizing animals. It's understanding that man is not as unique as he'd like to believe and that much of what man thinks he's doing from intelligence is actually from instinct. Man is an animal. Therefore there are similarities.

The one written by a childless screwball who has surrogate dog children?

speed, smell, hearing, loyalty, does not apply to all...only some and it doesn't make them better as humans have ways that are more efficient to over come those "set backs". As for less wastefull? less greedy? really? that one you will have to back up as I know of some very wasteful animals that kill just to kill.

You're sounding like those fu cking idiots that talk about the Indians like they were some kind of benevolent god that were perfect stewards of the earth, peaceful, only used what they needed, and all that bullshyte.

and before you make more of a fool of yourself.... I've had a mink go through my chicken flock.... kill over 2 dozen by biting their necks and having them bleed out. Not a single one was eaten. Over 2 dozen dead chickens, not one eaten, over a 2 day period before I caught and killed the SOB. A friend of mine has a fox problem with her chickens right now. The fox is killing them, and not eating them. Just killing them.

I'm not a fu cking idiot, and I'm also not making a fool of myself, I made some good sensible points,
and your point about problems the mink are causing,is valid, but humans have the capacity to think,
the mink only has his instincts, that is why we have to think for them, protect them, control them,
make sure they continue on living on this planet with us, as the higher thinker than all animals,
we have that responsibility, but unfortunately along with that brain power, many also are mean,
and greedy and thoughtless, and that is a shame.

no one can tell us we are here on this earth to 'use' the animals, we figure out ourselves what our responsibilities are concerning 'all' of us on this earth, and that includes the animals, and we should
do our best hopefully, to do it right, but unfortunately that isn't the case for many.

I could have some good conversations with you if you could try a bit harder, not to name call, that is
a big weakness in your posts, so we probably won't chat again for some time.
