roflmfao.... I suppose you don't use animals for your own purpose eh...... come on talloola.... show us how much of a hypocrite you are. Justify your "usage".

what some decide to do with animals, and where they got that information about they being there for us to
use isn't the same.

you made that statement as though it is a rule handed down from somewhere, but where, say it.

we have to survive, and sure we eat meat, but we must balance the taking of animals for our meals, with
the whole population of animals, and with our higher power of thinking, make sure they survive, thrive,
don't suffer, aren't treated inhumanely, don't take trophys for our walls, and fake medication, and
help them live on this earth with good health, like we want for ourselves.

how I feel about how the animals of this earth should be treated, 'and' how they are actually treated,
aren't the same, I have no power over those who 'use' animals in a way I would not.

killing an animal for food, if necessary, is necessary for many.

fishing is ok, but raping the seas is not, for me it is all about 'balanc'e and the future of the animals,
they must survive and thrive.

I did not say to you that animals should not be hunted for meat, I asked you who decided that animals
are put on this earth for us to use.

The list is longer than a page- speed, smell, hearing, loyalty, cleanliness, less wasteful, far less greedy (they just kill what they need)

speed, smell, hearing, loyalty, does not apply to all...only some and it doesn't make them better as humans have ways that are more efficient to over come those "set backs". As for less wastefull? less greedy? really? that one you will have to back up as I know of some very wasteful animals that kill just to kill.

You're sounding like those fu cking idiots that talk about the Indians like they were some kind of benevolent god that were perfect stewards of the earth, peaceful, only used what they needed, and all that bullshyte.

and before you make more of a fool of yourself.... I've had a mink go through my chicken flock.... kill over 2 dozen by biting their necks and having them bleed out. Not a single one was eaten. Over 2 dozen dead chickens, not one eaten, over a 2 day period before I caught and killed the SOB. A friend of mine has a fox problem with her chickens right now. The fox is killing them, and not eating them. Just killing them.

I didn't say "anyone" "put' the animals on this earth for us to use. It is a fact of life. We ARE at the top of the food chain. We have no competition. The animals ARE there at our discretion. WE decide what we eat and what we don't. WE decide what we hunt and what we don't. Some people have different reason than others, but it still comes down to WE, humans, use animals as we see fit and that includes you from your own admission.

I don't have to prove f**k all to someone so ignorant who can't engage in debate without using insults. Anyway it's not anything that takes much proving!

Weren't you singing praises for gerry's debating style in another thread? I guess the forum wind direction has changed.

Maybe that is what makes Gerry special! :) :):) :)

I see you can't back up your assertions of "animals" being more "benevolent" than humans. Come on JLM, what ya waiting for? TB to come rescue from the hole you have dug?

You sound like one of these people who thinks people are defined by a single trait. Very few people are totally consistent. When Gerry doesn't have "an axe to grind" he can debate with the next person. He just slips into the "A$$hole mode" at times. :) :) :)

I see you can't back up your assertions of "animals" being more "benevolent" than humans. Come on JLM, what ya waiting for? TB to come rescue from the hole you have dug?

Who is T.B.? I never said "benevolent". I've already given you a list!

Geez, you're on a real rampage tonight- me, Talloola, Cliffy! Is there anyone you like? :) :)

No, you gave a list of things, no animals. I addressed those "things" with the big one being animals don't kill more than they need. I took care of that with only 2 examples. You name any animal you want and I will show you that it is no more than an animal operating from instinct, preservation, or even just the plain fun of killing.

Geez, you're on a real rampage tonight- me, Talloola, Cliffy! Is there anyone you like? :) :)

I know.... you guys just hate to have to back up your bullshyte. It's a real bitch when I won't let ya's spout your crap un touched.

You, of course being the sole authority on what is valid and what is "crap". :) :) Of course no specie is perfect but most species have strengths and weaknesses. You seem to want to argue about that!

No, I'm arguing that your original statement is wrong. Your original statement is a far cry from what you just wrote. So tell me, why have you changed it?

And yet they are so superior in many ways!

in case you forgot, here's your original statement.

I still stand by that one!

If my dog and I are out in the back yard and someone comes to the front door of the house, I have no way of knowing that, but the dog knows, she also knows whether it's a person she is familiar with or not. That is just one example of an animal's superiority.

Nature does not care about you one iota.

But no less than you. :)

Really?

Canadian farmers are growing cape buffalo? From seed or?

I already have the best ruminant hunting in the world. Why would I want to go anywhere?

Oh. "Cape Buffalo" ... not previously mentioned. I'm sure that you can experience the thrill and sport of shooting a Bison in an enclosure, if you are so inclined.

P.S. Are you neighbours missing their sheep, yet?

TB does what TB does best....do what he accuses others of doing .....making snarky remarks about everyone's debating form, with the subtlety of a bulldozer.....

Weren't you singing praises for gerry's debating style in another thread? I guess the forum wind direction has changed.
He's so obvious and doesn't realize it....lol

Animals have feelings and emotions just like humans"
A lot of the attributes that we give animals are usually wishful thinking on the part of of humans.....we only see what we hope to see
