Plus all the wars and political unrest the US has fomented and continues with in Venezuela and other places. Led to mass migrations here, the gangs like MS 13 were created here in Salvadorean neighborhoods and later jails, these gangs started for self defense as they were being attacked in US by other groups, and they became bloody violent. They were later deported back to El Salvador where wore torn countries became gang havens. Throughout Central America..those gangs starting out from poverty and wealthy american consumerism of drugs that could be exported for money (not much of drug problems down there, just poverty, the drug addicts are in the US) and most of the victims fleeing gang violence, poverty, torture, rape, death there (US seeded) now facing torture, kidnapping when they ask for asylum here in US. - Sunita ChethikPerhaps it might be time to examine WHY these people want t o leave their countries of origin.Holding the countries that they are leaving in masses accountable might be an angle worth looking at.There HAVE to be options that have not been considered yet
Sunita knows, she's been there. I saw it in Guatemala, the US backed government murdering Mayans for the fun of it and to give their land to the United Fruit Company. Met a guy in Costa Rica from Boston who traveled extensively in El Salvador and Nicaragua and the horror stories about the US backed governments, The School of the Americas death squad training camps in the US. All the horror in Central and South America is the result of US foreign policy.
