The president insisted his tweets were not racist and urged fellow Republicans not to fall into a ��trap�� by voting on the Democratic-backed resolution.

almost too little too late. The Trump lunacy/ toxicity ha permeated through the republican party as well as those that have chosen t support this insanity.
what has become evident....is that Trump .....though his destructive negativity has gained a solid HOLD- control on the republican party and his supporters. When the party is too scared to speak freely , or condemn what is obviously negative, destructive verbal behavior.....America has a big problem. It is looking more and more like a Tyrannical regime now. Tyrants LOVE drama........and theater........as the focus becomes them........and Trump is a master at creating both.
Who, but a TYRANT demands that people LOVE their country??? We live in a small world with many nations........and to be knowledgeable and progressive......we must know about other nations....... with out FANATICAL "affection" for one nation. That is the basis of dictatorships.
America NO MORE> there is no going back to "normal"./ as "normal " is affected by what is happening. One cannot unring a Tyrant's bell.
It is those that follow this tyrant........that have no regard to the concept of America stood for.(past tense) or have no understanding of what the US stood for......and the model it was created with.
/Trump has tapped into a dark par t of the US that exited......but was under some degree of control.........but now has been released to act out just the same way Trump does. This dark side......includes his supporters. whose value system is NOT of democracy , or humanitarian principles. Their values include extremism and selfishness. (NARCISSISM)

one can imagine the republican REACTION if it was Obama that behaved this way. What a bloody hypocrisy.
Trump just goes from one testy drama to another..........and it serves as a distraction from his lousy , ineffective and incompetent POTUS. Trump is also deteriorating mentally. Trump also knows that FEAR WORKS in a very crazy -abnormal_) way. He is not afraid to use it as he sees fit for HISS own benefit. Dictators know the power of fear in controlling the masses. The Republicans don't even have the guts to call racist talk what it is. ......they are too AFRAID .....and Trump is lethal in his punishment of anyone not LOYAL to him. He has passed every qualification for being a DICTATOR. One that incites divisiveness and anger.........creating a hostile environment of antagonism. His prejudicial name calling is all part of this .

And ironically perhaps you have noticed how his popularity has been increasing of late, to the highest level since Jan. 2017! Looks like he's good for another 51/2 years in office.
