I used to be blue collar so I remember Trumps appeal quite well. The ruling classes are the ruling classes because they know how to use the stick and the carrot. Now us blue collar might be expert at sharpening mower blades and doing stuff arround the house but we generally know sweet fuk all about the next rung up. You're missing the point. The current party in no way resembles the GOP of the past. Almost certainly the great GOP hero Ronald Reagan would be horrified by the current state of the party as characterized by groups like the Tea Party and the support of groups like the KKK for the leading GOP candidate. The GOP is dying and if Trump slits the party further it will be dead.
The KKK huh? One of the Democrats most revered Senators who passed away still holding his seat and not too long ago was a KKK Grand Poobah (or whatever).... Sen. Robert Byrd. The Democrat Party is rife with bigotry and racism. Racism, race baiting, abject poverty, and division is the only way the Democrat Party stays in business.

I guessed I must have missed it. Just which one of the current Democratic candidates is the KKK endorsing? So far as Byrd is concerned, his tenure as Senator reveals two enormous weaknesses of US politics. One is that once a member of the US government is elected it is almost impossible to get rid of him. And two, that someone like Byrd would be elected in the first place and not be tossed out of his party's caucus. As I have said frequently in CC it is time for the US to change a political system that is badly broken and is now far from democratic.

Conservatives are more visible in the media. You can't get a clear measure of the pulse of the nation based on the ramblings of the right wing.
I used to like Hillary and I wish she had have won instead of Obama. But listening to her now is like listening to an pneumatic drill and that finger-stabbing while she's speaking is downright offensive. I think her desperation is showing!
