Trump enters office with historically low approval rating
President-elect Donald Trump has the lowest recorded approval rating heading into his final days before taking office, a new poll has found.
A Gallup poll conducted two weeks prior to the inauguration found that more than half of Americans disapprove of Trump at 51 percent, while only 44 percent of Americans approve of him.
Trump’s approval rating has dropped — last month’s Gallup poll showed the president-elect at a split 48 percent approving and disapproving.

Trump’s 48 percent approval last month was already the lowest for any presidential transition the polling company had measured, based on Gallup’s measured ratings since President Bill Clinton.
By comparison, Clinton had a 68 percent approval rating and 18 percent disapproval rating in Gallup’s final poll before his 1993 inauguration; former President George W. Bush had a 61 percent approval and 25 percent disapproval rating before being sworn in in 2001; and President Obama had an 83 percent approval and only 12 percent disapproval rating in the week leading up to his own Inauguration Day.
Gallup’s survey was based on interviews conducted Jan. 4–8 of a random sample of 1,032 adults. The poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.

It's a stupid f**king statistic to even bring up - his performance AFTER he takes office is what counts, everything else is bull sh*t, that would only impress a weak mind!
of course. that is his mindset. If they were favorable.. they would be fine and very accurate. What is astounding is that so many drank his cool aide and now find themselves defending him or making excuses for him. It is not a worldly or sophisticated lot that got conned by him. footnote: it is sad to watch one of the classiest , most intelligent and sophisticated First Families departing ..and being replaced by one that is so much the opposite.
Silencing or attacking journalists, attacking anyone who exercises their first ammendment rights to criticize what Trump is doing, rounding up people and labeling them because of their race or religion, stripping away our healthcare, stripping away public education and the rights of the disabled, stripping away women's healthcare and treating women like meat, disrespecting people of truth and sacrifice while tweeting out unilateral decrees, angering our allies by insulting them, decrying NATO, declaring a return to a nuclear arms race, choosinga big oil dapl supporter as head of Indian affairs, choosing a big oil lawyer who has sued the EPA as head of the EPA, choosing a billionaire who wants to dismantle public education and only educate the rich as head of the education dept., choosing someone who has spent his life going around to other countries pillaging them for oil and who is buddies with Putin to be secretary of State who has no experience in diplomatic relations, an evangelical fundamentalist as VP, pissing off China so much they have practically declared war before he even gets into office, skirting around all the laws put in place to avoid using power for personal financial gain, putting his family members in high white house positions like a dynasty, ect ect ad nauseum....threatening, banning, belittling anyone who doesn't "like" him, dismissing that this entire election was hacked by his soviet buddy who probably possesses very damaging information which now becomes a national security risk, everyday there is some law that he skirts by, a group of people he disrespects, another lie....they are dismantling all the things we fought so hard for. Soon they will have the entire military and police at their disposal, they will have all the nukes at their disposal, he wants to bring back torture, they are trying to pass laws to make protestors terrorists, to declare rez lands as private property they can drill along with national parks. The guy who had dissenters at his rallies beaten and thrown out......there is a word for this. It is the F word. Fascism. Some people call it bitter medicine to make the people rise up and fight back. Maybe its bitter medicine, but remember bitter medicine only works if the patient is still alive. -
