While I think JT commited an assault under the strict definition in the CCC I don't think it was intentional. That said even unintentional assault is something I do not want from an elected official or govt employee at any level and there should be repercussions for his actions. On a much more important note is the arrogance and bully-boy tactics he displayed flagrantly disobeying all rules and decorum in the HoC leaving his seat with a direct and specific intent to physically confront another member. That in itself should be cause for dismissal from any office especially the PMO. In that brief moment he displayed characteristics that are completely unwanted and unacceptable in politics. He may have only displayed his true self for a few seconds but by letting the veil painted by his handlers and publicists fall, no matter how short the time, it should be clear to anyone he needs to go. Only those who blindly support his policy without any care for the tactics (they probably complained the loudest about Harper doing the same thing) or any ability for rational thought could continue to support him now.
