By standing up to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Quebeckers have exposed a striking truth: modern race politics in Canada is mostly elitist performance art.

This week, in an effort to quell the uproar caused by his appointment of Amira Elghawaby as the government’s special representative on combating Islamophobia, the Prime Minister declared that “Quebecers are not racists.” He went on to explain, “Quebecers are among the people who are the strongest defenders of individual rights and freedoms, along with a lot of other Canadians.”
This is a bit of conundrum as to whose side I'm on here. On the one side, all of this "islamophobia" bullshit is predicated on a half-truth. On the other hand, our own stats show that you are more likely to be a target of religious bigotry in Quebec than anywhere else in Canada. Although you're more likely to be a target of racial bigotry in the ROC than in Quebec, so....

So I guess "boo" to Quebec and "boo" to Groper for creating the pointless, divisive position in the first place.
But, just three years ago, in 2020, Trudeau was quite clear in his view that Canada, including Quebec, is racist.

He is speaking out of both sides of his mouth, and betraying Elghawaby in the process. In her columns and statements that garnered criticism, Elghawaby reflects the very same perspective on Canada that Trudeau himself has expressed on numerous occasions. In a 2019 opinion article for the Ottawa Citizen she, and a coauthor, wrote that a “majority of Quebecers” were swayed by “anti-Muslim sentiment.”
As soon as Quebeckers stood up for themselves, Trudeau folded. Elghawaby apologized for her allegations of racism against Quebec before attending a meeting with Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet.
Well Jin, hell certainly froze over.

I agree with you.
Well, it’s unanimous then. Trudeau is a Douche-Canoe.

That's Canoe-douche.

Aside from that, the editorialist shows a remarkably sound grasp of the patently obvious.

…So 68 churches burned or seriously damaged - zero mosques. And we get a 'department of islam' in our gov'.t Also - hate crimes against jews including violence up more than any other religion and hits record levels - but we get a department of islam, nothing for the jews.

It's crap like this which drives racial divisions and hatred up.
Quebecers are “not racist,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says, as backlash continues over his choice of Amira Elghawaby as Canada’s first-ever special representative on combating Islamophobia.
As she headed into a meeting with Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet on Wednesday, Elghawaby apologized in English for the remarks.

She said she is “extremely sorry” for the impacts of her words and how they hurt the people of Quebec. Elghawaby added that she will listen carefully and that’s what dialogue is all about.

Elghawaby clarified late last week that she does not believe Quebecers are Islamophobic. However, for officials in the Quebec government, her response had fallen short.

While Trudeau said on Tuesday that he supports Elghawaby “100 per cent,” he acknowledged on Wednesday that he was not aware of all her past remarks when he made the appointment.

Oh coarse he’s not aware of her past, & of coarse nobody in his inner circle, or cabinet, or consultants, or what have you didn’t do a Google search….’cuz…. they didn’t think they’d…. something or another…”Look over There! Poilievre said something but meant something else! Abortion! Harper ate Kittens!”

On Sunday night, Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante stated the obvious: “At this moment, the Jewish community is under attack in Montreal.”

Bullets had been fired at two Jewish religious school doors in densely Jewish neighbourhoods last week (one school on two separate occasions), following attempted firebombings at a Jewish community centre and synagogue in the West Island. Jewish-owned businesses have been vandalized, and their owners targeted with hate on social media and in action.

A coffee-shop chain owner, whose shop menus were defaced with swastikas, is one of many Jewish entrepreneurs flagged on a boycott list Postmedia News reviewed, attesting to a disconcerting level of purposeful organization. Montreal’s 90,000 Jews were especially revulsed by a Nov. 8 Kristallnacht anniversary mobbing at Concordia University of an exhibit to honour the plight of the Israeli hostages in Gaza….& then in the LINK some theory’s and stats as to why this is happening….

Meanwhile over 20 christian churches were burned and he barely said anything and several people employed by the federal gov't turned out to be overtly antisemitic even before they got hired. But we desperately need an anti islamophobe ministry.

This is just more divide and conquer.
Well she sure has an easy job since it's not an issue but antisemitism... oh, sorry, that's OK. 😅

A York University sociology professor who studies protests and at least two other employees of the school have been placed on leave from their jobs after they were charged in connection with hate-motivated mischief over the defacing of a Toronto Indigo bookstore.

Colleagues and students have announced an hour-long walkout from class on Tuesday afternoon in protest of the suspensions, which organizers say will interrupt studies, create fear and damage the reputations of those accused.

Lesley J. Wood, who chaired the university’s sociology department from 2017 to 2021, told The Globe and Mail on Monday via text message that she was suspended from her associate professor job. Police announced charges against her and 10 others last week for allegedly tossing red paint on the downtown store and pasting posters accusing its Jewish founder, Heather Reisman, of supporting genocide.

Its time to get the Communists out the education system.

Parents at a Toronto elementary school vandalized with swastikas were stunned to hear of the incident from their children and not administrators, saying they are “disappointed” by a board procedure that prohibits principals from sharing such information.

The Toronto District School Board says it takes allegations of hate and racism “very seriously” but has moved away from telling parents about these incidents because it’s concerned that students who may have been involved will be vilified and the reports will lead to copycat acts.

Recent incidents in schools come amid increased reports of antisemitism and Islamophobia since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack in Israel, when more than 1,200 were killed and about 240 taken hostage. In the ensuing war, more than 13,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza by Israeli attacks.

So nothing will be done about thus but God forbid if 1 Muslim has an issue. All he'll will break out. The hypocrisy is incredible!

York University – long a centre of Canadian anti-Israel sentiment – is now witnessing a miniature staff revolt demanding that faculty be allowed to commit pro-Palestinian vandalism without consequence.

On Thursday, social activist Naomi Klein will headline another demonstration outside Indigo to pin up additional posters and denounce what they call “police intimidation tactics against peace activists.”

None of the actions are claiming that the Indigo demonstration never happened, or that the accused York University staff had nothing to do with it. Rather, the gist is that using posters and red paint to accuse a bookstore CEO of genocide is not only “legitimate and necessary,” but should be defended by York University administrators.

Go throw red paint or stamp VOID on their lambskins.
