Not that I-90 is better maintained than the 401, but your claim that that's the dumbest reason on earth.

Heck, I can come up with half a dozen dumber reasons just off the top of my head.

And, the 401 isn't part of it.
The 401 is the busiest highway in North America, needing constant maintenance. The 407 toll road is a better highway......if you can afford to go on it.

They are complaining of closed highways in Washington State as we speak . Governor Insley has laid off twenty percent of highways dept. and they are short plow drivers .
