Doing what? Making comments about public figures? I guess it's bad if I make derogatory comments (not that I necessarily have) about figures YOU like.. Tough!
I find the whole thing amusing...he is not totally innocent in this... if you think so you are being fooled...but hey if you want to pretend to defend his honour and white wash him, have at 'er.

The one you use to pretend you're objective about right leaning politicians. You've only had it on since way back at RAW. It's bound to grow cracks.

lol....thanks professor, I have always leaned left, once in a while I give the right a try Bear, but it usually doesn't last long for me...my guy leans right and that's as right as I get. I gave Harper a shot and he f uked me over...I actually like some of the things ole Rob has done, do I think he is guilty of using crack...yeah, does he associate with questionable types, yeah but so do most politicians what difference does it make if they are down and under dirty or up top and dirty. I don't defend him because he is conservative or liberal only because I don't think what he is doing in his personal life matters. I defended Clinton too. I don't care who was blowing him.
It doesn't take away what he has done that is right.
At RAW I hadn't even ventured too far right.
When I was in business I leaned as far right as I could. It's not my nature. The Captain and I have argued the school system ad nauseum whilst you were gone.. he leans right I lean left and for that, I go really left.
I am fiscally conservative but socially, I am left. Never have pretended otherwise. At least I don't think I have. If I did I never meant to.
The whole city Council should step down and they should start from scratch. Between the Commie Paula Fletcher, the Rat Sergio Mammoliti's and Adam Vaughan and a host of other idiots I really don't have the time or inclination to mention, make Toronto look like it is. a city of spoiled-rotten-self-indulged-cry-babies who can't handle money and think the rest of us, being Canada, should give a tinkers damn about them.

Bill Carroll, who hosts afternoon drive from Los Angeles on Toronto talk radio station AM640, was quite confident that a passionate defender of Mayor Rob Ford — who identified himself as “Ian from Etobicoke” — was actually Ford himself.
“This guy, if he’s not the mayor, he could play one on the radio,” Carroll said to his on-air colleague Jeff MacArthur as they reviewed the drama that surrounded the mayor on Halloween night.
Carroll said he was “90 to 95 per cent” certain that the voice, arguing against the incriminating nature of the “crack video” now seized by police, belonged to Ford based years of interviewing and listening to the embattled mayor — and enough experience to have a hunch when somebody is attempting to fake their audible identity by deepening their voice.
“I’ve spent my entire career listening to voices, editing tape, interviewing people,” said Carroll. “I’m almost like a blind guy.”
Comments on the call reached some consensus that it was not the mayor in spite of the the similar cadences — yet could have been his oldest brother Randy, who has maintained a low profile amidst the entire saga.
AM640 hosts have generally been supportive of Ford during the tumultuous three years of his term. And the station continued to give his supporters airtime to speak their minds throughout Thursday.
Particularly curious was when “Ian from Etobicoke” asked who he was speaking to even though Carroll has been a fixture on the Toronto AM airwaves for two decades.
But then he hung up on the call himself as the suspicious radio host continued to ask him if it was actually the mayor on the phone.
The main points raised by “Ian” were that it is comparatively impossible to fire a unionized worker for a personal substance abuse problem — and that the mayor could easily have not been aware that a video actually existed all along, as it can be difficult to tell if you are being filmed by a mobile device.

If he was that sure he should have had it analyzed. But that would detract from the theater.
That's a fair observation, just what I've happened to catch on the news over the past 6 months, probably a lot I didn't catch, so of course I'm not certain about anything. Politics is much more about perception than proof.
One facet of this situation I don't fully comprehend-who was Lisi extorting/threatening to extort-was it Ford?

I heard it, I'm sure it was him. He sounded stressed.
I like proof, but more importantly, I like a politician that says what he does and does what he says in office.
Yep, I thought that was awesome. It made him real to me, someone I could relate to, someone that liked to get his freak on.
I still didn't like his politics, but it certainly gave him more cred in my eyes.
I'm not sure, I think it would be the people that had the video. Ford and Lisi are friends.
