Question: How many NDP voters does it take to aggree with an anti Harper/ Concervative Copy&Paste????

Answer: How many sheeple do we have in Canada..8O

That's funny. Considering that every sitting member of the CPC follows blindly and will vote for whatever leadership tells them to vote for I would call the conservatives (note the correct spelling) the sheeple of this new "big brother" regime.

By your response pointing out the importance of a typo I would guess you must be an NDP sheeple...

The problem is that you or I or someone else can inform them that Joe Blow on main street
is up to some nasty stuff because we don't like him and they will turn his life upside down.
It is the worst part about McCarthyism and wouldn't you know it, it is being promoted by none
other than conservatives and social conservatives at that.
These people are one step away from being fascists, and what was the American prosecutor
said about the leaders of the fascist regime. They all looked so ordinary none of them would
stand out on a public street. That is the problem, we don't recognize the danger until its too
late.

I think that crap may be happening now, anyway. One of the biggest dangers I see if the fear of politicians escalating to the "Sky is falling syndrome"- you can get rid of politicians after 4 years, but you can't put the sky back up!

I am fully independent. I would only vote for someone based on their views and stance on subjects that are important to me. Any party affiliation is irrelevant.

You must be a conservative sheeple based on your stance.

In My voting life I have voted for probably every party at the Provincial and Federal level depending on who the local representative was...
If my voting Concervative;-) this time because the other candidates didn't espouse my views makes me a "sheeple" in your eyes...so be it....
My original post with the term was in relation to a specific poster's constant copy&pastes, not necessarily because I disagree all the time with the subject of those posts...but because the Harper government seems to have become recognized by most everybody as his personal obsession........

Very good then. You are not a sheeple, just a concervative (lol) supporter. Kind of like being an athletic supporter.

They need a warrant for real time tracking of your activity. They don't require one for internet provider customer information. They don't require a warrant to issue a production order, which would compel ISP's to provide evidence for specific requests. The last bill allowed the police to access your name, address, phone number, email address(es), IP address, and a host of other identifying information related to cell phones and providers. This information can be linked to other data. So as the lawyer said, if you read the CCoC web page a lot, the police could flag your IP if it shows up a lot in requests for evidence from ISP's and get lots of information about you without needing a warrant.
The Police can gather a ton of intel about you, with just your name. I'm still not that worried.

I don't pretend to know all this stuff, which is why I say we should listen to the subject matter experts. I don't understand all the ins and outs, nor do I even know what are all the ins and outs...
Neither do I, but from what I've read, I'm willing to bet the first time they use intel gathered without a warrant, in court, it will be tossed on Charter grounds.

If you ask me, this whole thing sounds like a lot of hot air.

But you don't need one to get into the library, or to walk around and browse.
True.

True, but I don't walk around with a big name tag on. I'm not identified on a stores CC recorders.
You may not stand out in a crowd, but as Das can attest to, I do, lol.

And now they will be able to gather more without warrant. You're not concerned about that? I notice you use the invisible feature on this website...

Yes, but if you came to PEI and walked into a Needs convenience store, likely nobody would be able to identify you based on your on-camera appearance ;)

From what I gather, portions are unconstitutional. Am I concerned? Not really. I don't surf kiddie porn.

And like I said, it will likely be struck down on Charter grounds, if the authorities try and use any intel gathered without warrant.

Just because the clowns in Ottawa legislate it, doesn't mean it will get past a Judge.

And yes I do use the invisibitch feature. For the very same reason I wear camo when I hunt.

Unless I was covered head to toe, and crawled, I'm pretty identifiable.

If I had a buck, for every time I've heard "You've got to be Bear. Ya, that name suits you." I'd be rich.

If I hadn't seen you coming out of that car of yours, I would never have believed you could fit in there.

I never did ask you..."Did you have the driver's seat modified for you???
Nope, Honda's are roomy.

But if I'm ever in an accident, I bet my knees get written off first.

Actually, the Civic is far more roomy than the Yota. I really have to duck, to get in the Yota.

Probably. It sure sounds like unreasonable searches, but the preferable situation is for reaching and sweeping new police powers to not get passed at all.

This doesn't make a lick of sense, but I just thought about it so had to post it :D

Sure, but you don't have a tag that makes you instantly identifiable to anyone with the video in hand.

I agree, but I won't be running for the hills or babbling like some of the usual suspects in this thread.

As with most legislation like this, I bet the CPC knows it's unconstitutional, they're placating squeaky wheels.

Ummm, ya.

Does my name on my arm count? Or the clan tat on my forearm? If I wear a wife beater, there's a few more tats that make me readily identifiable, lol.

That identification is dependent on more information. I wouldn't recognize you on camera for instance.

Commonsense, isn't common. But the squeaky people must be greased.

I know. I've made peace with that.

However making peace does not rob me of my right to sarcasm. That's constitutionally protected isn't it? It's gotta be. ;)

Love the new avatar btw.

Figured you would, lol. Thank you.

The "valentines day heart dude" was 'cute' and all but I've decided to go in a new direction for the remainder of February. :)

Oh yeah, I'd spot you in no time: round person with tats. lol

Sure it is. For instance, common sense used to tell people the world was flat. Good sense proved otherwise. ;)
But the squeaky people must be greased.
Or stored in the background somewhere.
