I think the cops need more powers to catch ALL of the bastards- some is only a start!

Maybe not all but 600 of the bastards would be a lot more impressive. These bastards are even worse or at least as bad as the ones who push drugs on kids. As far as I'm concerned they should all get the needle.

So what are you advocating, a police state?

The proposed legislation will not magically rid the country of pedophiles. Like I said previously in the thread, there are easy ways to bypass any sort of monitoring the government forces ISP's to enable.

I'd be willing to compromise on that issue, a police state for the A$$holes and a democracy for the rest of us- which category you fit into depends on your behaviour and your history!

Actually you are right, but it could get them locked up. I wonder how many of the bastards who are making money off child porn are NOT pedophiles! Maybe that is the place to start.

Wow, unfortunately it does not work like that. Everyone loses, so much for due process.

Yeah, you hear a lot about civil liberties but you don't hear much about responsibilities. Maybe before they whine about liberties they should have to prove where they've shown responsibility.

So a right to privacy is not implied anymore but has to be earned? Kinda sad how little you value your rights.

That's not a bad idea- you teach your kids that to qualify for privileges they have to prove they are responsible. When they reach adulthood are you saying we should change the message? A little hypocritical don't you think?

Yeah, isn't it sad how some people don't seem to care about our rights, it's all 'think of the children', but quite honestly, what kind of country would we give our children if nobody had the freedom to do anything without government permission?

Harper needs to fire some of these idiot Cabinet Ministers...

Actually, on the OAS thing, Harper would be in a lot more shyte if it weren't for the cover (see: b.s.) that Diane Finley and a couple of other ministers have been repackage during QP.

It's amazing how a little chutzpah from the likes of Toews, Nicholson and even Flaherty can keep your team going when you don't want to answer a question directly. For a case scenario of a complete failure though - see Fantino, lol

.... I can't believe some people care so little about their rights, I actually felt pity when i read that.

On another score, the fact is Harpo is indeed taking the (someone said oil companies, but it "originated" <- not sure, in Horse breeding/trading.) Way of things, and are going go scare tactic then take it one step down... The question is why does this surprise anyone anymore.

They did it with A.C.T.A. and they'll do it now. Taking what appears to be baby steps but is really lopping of the reproductive organs in our rights and freedoms. Honestly I find it amazing that more people aren't doing something about it, they all seem to take this blase attitude when it comes to laws and amendments; quite frankly i am shocked they are still alive.

Next thing you'll see is the police running down Peaceful protesters in the street with their horses- Oh wait.... never mind.

Other Twitter users have adopted the tongue-in-cheek hash tag #tellviceverything, which they are using to provide Mr. Toews’ with with mundane details about their day.
Last night I couldn’t sleep. Kept worrying: what if Jeremy Lin never learns to drive to his left? Troubling dreams. #TellVicEverything

I love watching the usual suspects that have stated time and time again, they believe the gov't needs to apply more control. Now crying about the gov't applying more control, lol.

Oh yeah, I'd spot you in no time: round person with tats. lol
I'm not round.
