I think this case ought to go before a jury........Not a judge alone,,,,,,,,,,A judge and jury..........In a proper court of law.

Any wittnesses or videos would provide evidence.

My opinion from what evidence I did see, is that the police officer should be fired and he should spend some time in jail.

A few months back I got a police officer suspended he has been off with pay since oct 2010 this officer responded to a domestic call while helping my wife get a restraining order and having a sexual relationship with her while he was on **** many times this officer broke so many rules I can't list em all just wondering if any one out there knows what the disciplinary action will be against this dirty cop

Why did your wife need a restraining order against you?

The only way you'd be compensated in the private sector, is if you have a negotiated policy in your work place.

Seeing as the average citizen doesn't work in an atmosphere where they would be subject to false accusations, such as a police officer, I wouldn't think it a prudent sticking point in a negotiation between management and say the guy who slides a widget in a beer can.

I don't.

So you're basing your opinion on what you saw, or from a conversation you had with the Officers? Or both? And could you expand on that a little please, I'm sincerely interested in what you have to say about your experiences here.

One of the guys could have been confused with a young Don Knotts. One young female officer looked like she overdosed on doughnuts (she used to go to the local Chinese smorg and fill her plate with nothing but ribs.

Bow Island is a quiet detachment so it is a prime destination for those just out of depot. They are usually here for a few months until they get their feet wet. There isn't enough crime here for them to get off probation (new recruits have to do a number of things like attend a domestic or pinch an impaired driver to get off probation) so most move on once the basics are learned. In the last 5 years we've had a dozen new grads come through town. I get to know most of them through the fire department and some work I do with Victims Assistance. I may have been impressed with one or two. At least three that I know of are no longer in the RCMP. One was too scared to work by himself and one was caught with a young girl in one of the cells. This was after he was transferred away because of inappropriate conduct with young girls here.

When cops are being investigated for criminal activity eg. assault, impaired driving and corrupt activities,

They charge cops for impaired driving up there? Down here, drunk driving or buzzed driving is one of the benefits of being a cop. The only way they get charged is if they kill or really injure someone. A cop getting pinched for DUI without an accident is very rare.

I suspect a hell of a lot more of them do it than get charged with it up here too. Most of our cops are honest hardworking people But there's that 5-10% who are just out and out thugs and take advantage of every opportunity to be a "big shot".

A guy I know was a Mass Statie and would ALWAYS get pulled over by the local police. He used to get hammered and drive. Absolutely BOMBED. Finally the local cops had to call his Supervisor and inform him that the next time they catch him they are arresting him.

This was when I was in my early 20's but boy he would be legless and get behind the wheel. I remember one time he was inebriated and drove off and I said something to our mutual pal...

"He should not be driving."

"He's a Statie... what are they going to do? Arrest him?"

Why did your wife need a restraining order against you?
we had an argument and when that police officer came to the house he told her to do it and gave her his card with his personal phone number on the back the restraining order did not stick it was just a temp one for 10 days untill she could prove any reson for it . since this happened we have gotten back together and she did a full statement against him once i filed a complaint with the opcc he was suspended 5 days later and has gotten a laywer he took her also to a undercover police staion and they only seen each other while he was on shift

What about the other cop?
i talked to a lawyer and he said he is facing criminal charges possibly for tuning his radio off on shift and using his lights and sirens not for police use and for giving her his gun to hold and for bringing her to an under cover police station and for inviting her to a date at the original call

One cop for a domestic sounds very odd.
ohh the other cop was out side talking to me the one out side just asked me to leave for the night and i could return in the morning he said standard procedure for a domestic

the cop out side was interviewed along with about six other cops from his sup. to other officers met that day and all my neighbours were interviewed and three had seen his uc truck at my house on three seperate occassions

Yeah there is always two. I see. So the other cop didn't get in trouble?
no he had no idea about the whole thing he was outside with me the lawyer i spoke to said that he had broken about 10 to 15 rules and there are far too many witnesses

It would help if we could get the whole story in one post grammatically written and properly punctuated.
