In ancient Egypt, the worship of oxen or calves was established, and there were temples consecrated for such idolatry.

Children of Israel or the descendants of Prophet Jacob originally were monotheists following the religion of their grandfather Prophet Abraham; they exclusively devoted themselves to worship God alone without associate, equal, son or parents. God Almighty: the Most Gracious and the Creator.

Later on when they went to Egypt in the time of Prophet Joseph son of Jacob, they were enslaved and subjected by Pharaoh.

By time, they adopted the idolatry of the ancient Egyptians, and started to worship their idols, particularly the ox or the calf. Then this idolatry became deeply inserted in their hearts, and percolated to the pericardium of their hearts.

This is in the Quran about their loving and worshiping the calf or the young ox; it is in soora 2: 93, which means:

([The love of] the calf was effusive into [the pericardium of] their hearts; because of their infidelity c.
Say [Mohammed, to them:] 'An evil belief is that which enjoins on you [such conduct d] if [indeed] you are true believers [in the Torah, as you claim e.]')
...........................................
c Because they were used to worship the idols in Egypt, before Moses came to them.
d i.e. if your faith or belief enjoins on you such conduct, then it will be an evil faith or belief.
e When you said: “We only believe [exclusively] in [the Torah] that was revealed to us."

And now, five thousand years later, worshippers of Satan build grand palaces to their god and go all over the world doing their dark master's bloody bidding.

Cats (or, as the Ancient Egyptians called them, "mau") were also sacred to the Ancient Egyptians. Cats were given the same mummification after death as humans and were given in offering to the goddess Bast.

"Ox" in Egyptian.

It's no wonder not many Egyptians could write. You needed to be good at drawing to write Egyptian words.

This is only a mixture of things and confusion of ideas.
Why don't you speak clearly?
Satan is cursed by God, and the Quran of God warns of Satan and his suggestions and his host and his followers, and of following him.
Unless you are so cautious in thinking and you don't want to consider, you may have seen the truth clearly about the glorious Quran.

When starts reading the Quran, one should seek God's protection from the evil and suggestions of Satan the cursed one.
This is the last soora in the book of the Quran, and its meaning:

Soora 114
(In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

1. Say, [Mohammed]: "I seek protection [of God] the Lord a [and Creator] of men,"

2. "The King [and Owner] of men," b

3. "The God of men," c

4. "From the evil of the invisible whispering d,"

5. "That whispers e in the breasts of men,"

[Then God – be glorified – explained from whom such whispering or suggestion comes, and He said:]
6. "[Coming] from jinns f and men g."
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………
a The word in the Arab language is the chief who has the sovereignty on his people.
b While any other king: his kingdom will inevitably disappear.
c The ‘god’ means the deity or the worshipped one.
d Or that which slinks away from the sight!
e The whispering or suggestion issues from devils and evil souls, and the implication of the words reaches to the memory so man will perceive it and understand its meaning.
f Devils in fact are the disobedient jinns.
g It means: the spirits of the disobedient and hypocritical men.

The whole reading of a book centuries old and living by it is a waste of my time.
Secondly if God is god he or she knows what I need so why waste Gods time
or mine begging for a favor. All this is to create a societal ladder which I feel no
need to climb. Gods and Devils and witches and spirits and well it goes on and

In complement to the first post of this thread:

The Children of Israel by time, and after the death of Prophet Jacob their father and the death of Prophet Joseph son of Jacob, so by time, they fell in the idolatry and adopted the ways of the ancient Egyptians, one of such ways was the worship of the ox or the calf, which they loved very much.
Then because of such idolatry, they were punished by the slavery and subjection to Pharaoh, who was set against them to persecute and wrong them.
When they went out of Egypt in their exodus, they were obliged to this, because Pharaoh treated them as one entity, and because they were afflicted by an epidemic plague leading to the death of many of them in Egypt.

Then after crossing the Red Sea by the miracle of God, they came to a people devoting themselves to idols, and they asked Moses to make idols for them like those people.

This is in the Quran 7: 138-141, which mean:
138. And We took the Children of Israel across the sea a, and they came to a people who were devoted to some idols which they had.
The [Children of Israel] said: "O Moses, make for us a god b, even as they have gods c." [Moses] said: "You are surely a people ignorant [about God and His might.]"

139. "Certainly, the work d of these [idolaters] will lead to destruction e, and all that they are doing is in vain f."

140. [Moses] said: "Shall I seek for you a god other than God when He has favored you [with excess bounties and surplus] above all peoples of the world?"

141. And [remember] when We did save you from Pharaoh's folk, who treated you with the worst persecution g, killing your sons and letting your women live; in that was a great trial for you from your Lord.
………………………………………………………………………………………………
a i.e. We made for them a road in it, and they crossed.
b Which we should worship.
c Which they worship.
d i.e. the idol worship.
e It means: they are going to be destroyed because of such act of theirs.
f They will not be rewarded for it, but will be punished and will lose.
g They deal with you like their dealing with those whom they punish.

The whole reading of a book centuries old and living by it is a waste of my time.
Secondly if God is god he or she knows what I need so why waste Gods time
or mine begging for a favor. All this is to create a societal ladder which I feel no
need to climb. Gods and Devils and witches and spirits and well it goes on and

damngrumpy, it is not waste of time; time is the life span or age: i.e. the years that man will spend in his life time. It is not waste of time: because this is the most important truth: to know God, and to know He is One without associate and to know that there is another spiritual life to which man will go, and that man has not been created haphazardly and in vain.

Your second point:"if God is god he or she knows what I need so why waste Gods time or mine begging for a favor."
The begging or praying of God is essential: because it indicates the certain belief that God is All-Hearing and All-Able to grant man his request.

Moreover, man should state his request ... because God will grant him his demand, and later on man should not deny that, and man should be grateful to God Most Gracious because He answered his prayer. So God will tell him: I have given you your request: like the provision, the position in community, the family, the beautiful wife, the nice children, the health the security, the electric sets , the cars , the money which I gave to you, and all your prayers I answered, when you prayed Me to do so and so, but you forgot and denied and did not show gratitude and were not thankful.

This is in the Quran 2: 187, which means:

[The reason for revealing the following aya:
[One of the companions of the Prophet asked him: "Is our Lord Near so that we can ask of Him in secret, or is He far so that we should cry out to Him?"
Therefore, this aya was revealed:]

187. And when My servants ask you [Mohammed] concerning Me, I am always Near a;
I answer the prayer's prayer when he prays to Me b.
So let them seek after My answer [by being obedient to Me] c,
and let them believe in Me d [and My Holy Names];
haply so they may be led aright e.
…………………………………………………………………
a i.e. I hear the prayer's prayer as does the one near to them hear.
b i.e. I answer the prayer's prayer once he asks of Me, and I grant him his demand once he requests. And I do what is better for him: so that if his request is advantageous to him, I will offer to him what he wants; but if his demand is not beneficial to him, I shall postpone the answering of his request to another time.
c i.e. let them seek after My answer to their prayer and My good pleasure about them: by obeying My commands.
d i.e that I AM One, Generous, Most Merciful, All-Answering of the prayer, Most Forgiving and the other beautiful description and fair names.
e i.e. so that they may find the truth and be guided to it.

Besides someone told me once the Jews were the chosen people and another
told me God was actually Catholic so who do you believe?

Jews or the Children of Israel or Prophet Jacob's seed: they were the chosen people; God chose them in their time to worship Him alone without associate or peer or equal or son or parents.
But they betrayed the covenant and worshipped the idols, the calf in the time of Moses, the two calf statues made for them by Jeroboam son of Nabat, after the death of Solomon, then they worshipped the Baal, Astaroth, the Star Sirius ...etc.

God sent them many prophets and apostles to warn them of such idolatry, but they disobeyed them and even killed some of them, like Prophet Isaiah, John Baptist, Prophet Zachariah, and they tried to kill Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed, in stead of supporting them and helping them in their mission to guide people to worship God alone without partner.

Then God chose Jesus and his followers the first Christians as His chosen, but later on He refused them on account of their enthusiasm about the Christ and considering him as son of God, or one of three in Trinity or even considering him as God Himself.

Therefore, He refused them, then chose Mohammed and his followers to carry his monotheism to the world and nations, but later on some of them also changed and deviated and started to worship the graves of their imams and sheikhs.

In summary, the chosen people are those who worship God alone, and devote themselves to worship Him exclusively without equal, or patron; on condition that they believe in all the prophets including Jesus and Mohammed, and should believe in all the heavenly books including the Gospel of Jesus and the Quran of Mohammed.

The brazen bull, bronze bull, or Sicilian bull, was a torture and execution device designed in ancient Greece.[1] According to Diodorus Siculus, recounting the story in Bibliotheca historica, Perillos of Athens invented and proposed it to Phalaris, the tyrant of Akragas, Sicily, as a new means of executing criminals.[2] The bull was made entirely of bronze, hollow, with a door in one side.[3] The bull was in the form and size of an actual bull and had an acoustic apparatus that converted screams into the sound of a bull. The condemned were locked in the device, and a fire was set under it, heating the metal until the person inside roasted to death.

Interesting device.

Mooo. Just fukkin moo.

8OWhy not just light a fire and chuck yon criminal on top ?

Probably not creative enough

So why do you Muslims worship Satan?

(35: 6. To you Satan is an enemy h; so take him for an enemy [and do not follow his orders.]
He calls his party i [in the life of the World] only that [in the Next Life] they may be among the inhabitants of the Blaze.)
…………………………………………………………………………………
h So he invites you to your destruction, disgrace and shame.
i To the disbelief and association and to God’s disobedience.

The above is the meaning and explanation of the Quran 35: 6.

So we do not worship Satan; we worship God Most Gracious alone without associate or partner.

The brazen bull, bronze bull, or Sicilian bull, was a torture and execution device designed in ancient Greece.

The Israelites worshipped the gold calf statue in the absence of Moses
The love of the ox or the calf reached to the pericardium of the hearts of the Israelites. They adopted such idolatry when they had been in Egypt, following the death of Prophet Jacob and Prophet Joseph son of Jacob; when people started to be wrong-doers and so they fell in the idolatry, specially the worship of the ox or bull and the calf.

Then when they went in their Exodus, and while they were in the wilderness, and in the absence of Moses: when he went to the Mount Hor for 40 days.
There was a man: a Samaritan; he was not of the Children of Israel, but one of the wizards who believed in Moses; and this Samaritan found an ancient treasure from the time of the Apostle Salih; in this treasure there was a small gold statue of a calf; so Satan came to the Samaritan and suggested to him:
"You are a clever goldsmith; you are an artist; so why wouldn't you make a gold statue of a calf bigger than this, and leave it with the Children of Israel to be a memory of your name forever!"
So the Samaritan saw the idea fair-seeming to him, and he made a bigger gold statue of a calf, and inserted a device inside it to produce a sound of a bull when the wind enters into it.
And he said to the Children of Israel: This is your god and the god of Moses; he said to Moses: don't go to the Mount, and it is I who will come!" Now, he has come to you.
So the Israelites waited 3 days in addition to the 30 stated days, and when they saw that Moses did not return; then they worshipped the gold calf statue for 7 days.
Then when Moses returned he saw them worshipping the idol of the gold calf.

Strange thing is that atheists claiming logical and reasoning: they respects idols and statues, while they object to God Almighty and Most Gracious: the Creator.
Therefore, atheists & idolaters are united against God!

The worship of two statues of calf, after the death of Solomon
Anyhow, the love of the calf percolated in the pericardium of the Israelites: a generation after another. Very strange: they are the seed of prophets, and they love the calf idol very much and fall into the idolatry rather than following the pure monotheism: the exclusive devotion to God alone without attributing to God equals or peers.
King Solomon was a prophet in addition to his being a king, and he followed the pure monotheism. He was a wise and a righteous man; he believed in God alone and did not join with Him others or idols.
He ruled 30 years, then died leaving a united monotheistic state.
But following his death, Jeroboam son of Nebat dragged the Children of Israel or the Israelite and he cast them in the idolatry.
So they were divided into two parties: Rehoboam son of Solomon: a righteous man like his father, and the other one was Jeroboam son of Nebat who lead the Children of Israel into the idolatry. Most of them followed Jeroboam and his idols; for he made for them two idols: gold statues of calf. So most of the Israelites followed Jeroboam and forsook Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
Jeroboam let them fall into the idolatry.

This is in the Quran 16: 75 and its meaning, concerning the dispraise of the Israelites who followed Jeroboam the idolater, rather than Rahboam the monotheist:

(75. God propounds [concerning believers] a parable [of two men of the Children of Israel:]
[one of them was Jeroboam son Nebat] an enslaved servant [of Solomon a], having no power over any [wealth or ruling b],
and one [Rehoboam son of Solomon] for whom We provided with a fair provision from Us, so he expended out of [his father’s inheritance] secretly and openly [in God’s way. c]
Can they be equal [before God: those who followed Jeroboam the disbeliever who made them disbelievers, and those who followed Solomon’s son who improved their condition and ameliorated their religious obedience?]
d Praise be to God e.
But [actually] most of them do not know [the truth f.])
--------------------------------------------------------
a Then he rebelled against Solomon, even after Solomon honored and brought him close to him.
b And We gave to him [wealth] and made him ruler, but he was ungrateful and associated [others] with God.
c So Jeroboam rivaled with Rehoboam son of Solomon about the kingdom, and fought him. And the majority of the Israelites followed Jeroboam the disbeliever, who made for them two calves of gold and invited them to worship them, and they worshipped the two calf statues and disbelieved; while only a minority of them followed the son of Solomon the righteous man.
d Therefore, you believers, who follow Mohammed, say:
e Who guided us to the way of the truth, and let us follow Mohammed who improved our religious obedience, and God saved us from those ignorant associaters.
f i.e. most of people are ignorant and they in fact do not know the truth.

The interpretation is according to the late interpreter of the Quran and the Bible Mohammed-Ali Hassan Al-Hilly.
