As you well know from relativity, as travellers approach light speed, time dilates and length contracts. Hence, for the photon, no time passes and the universe is a singularity. In other words light traverses an infinitely small cosmos in no time flat. Light is simply the small thoughts of Gawd.

In my opinion it means:
1.
SRT is theory without mass, without Gravity- mass.
It means that Absolute Minkowski negative 4D spacetime has
no gravity-matter. If Minkowski 4D doesn't have gravity-matter
then its geometry must be Absolute Flat. Absolute Flat spacetime
is an Infinite / Eternity continuum. The Universe as whole is
Absolute / Infinite / Eternity Flat Continuum without Gravity-mass.
2.
In 1915 Einstein put in local region (!) of Absolute Flat spacetime
Gravity-matter and created GRT.
It means that if Gravity- masses appear, then only small local region (!)
of Absolute Minkowski negative flat spacetime (!) becomes curved.
The geometry of this local region is now Riemannian, Pseudo- Euclidian.
This local Riemannian region has its Gravity-space and Gravity-time.
GRT explains Gravity Local Phenomena in Absolute Flat Universe.

from the photon's perspective .
2.
Photon gets from the Sun to the Earth in 8 minutes
(from our earth-gravity point of view )
3.
From the photon's perspective it takes zero (0) time.
4.
Theoretical physicists use "Natural units" in particle physics and cosmology.
In natural units c = 299,792,458 m/sec is equal one: c = 1,
c = 299,792,458 m/sec = 1

If I were a photon I would not "look like" a point-particle and
at constant speed (c=1) I would not have "time" (like a dead man)
and the universe without "time" would look very boring and therefore
I will try to change situation and create "time" by some action.
Maybe by act of "vacuum transformation / fluctuation / polarization"
