taxslave ... Please consider that 1/ venture capitalism has a valid place in spuring investment, growth and jobs in the American private sector and expertise in this area especially at this time is preferable to ignorance in this area and 2/ guys that have made their fortunes and are independently wealthy and 65 years of age or older - which describes Mitt Romney - are much less likely to be beholden to wingnuts or to anyone else and more likely to chart their own course and stand their ground than are younger and less affluent guys still on the make like Barry Obama who has several really nutty and unseemly associates who worry me.
- That being said, I, too, am not a fan of the Tea Partiers anymore than I was a fan of Reform when Manning formed it and thereby split the conservative vote and enabled Jean Chretien - the guy who speaks neither official language and looks like the driver of the getaway car and reads nothing longer than tabloid newspapers and has not had an original idea of his own since about 1962 when he came to Ottawa and who got the Liberal leader gig by seniority and ass kissing - to become PM.
- However, the guy best equipped to handle the Tea Partiers because of his wealth and independence is Mitt Romney who also proved he could handle a state legislature that was 87% composed of the other party.
