Beave, when you're doing science, if you can't put numbers on things you really can't know very much about what you're doing.

I agree almost fully and completely. However, one of the prime directives of professional befuddlement dictates that you must, where possible, support your insanity, scheme, con with perfectly beautiful baffling numbers. The thicker the better, and they need not reflect any extant reality at all except in the broadest sense. This eliminates 90% of casual inquiry thus stifling the bulk of prying and grumbling from the lower deck slobs like myself.

Some words from my sponsers which I copied to clip several minutes ago prior to my arrival here this morning, on a gut feeling, spooky sometimes, a true dark matter methinks.

The cultural historian, Jaques Barzun, defined specialism as “a piece of etiquette which decrees that no specialist shall bother with the concerns of another, lest he be thought intruding and be shown up as ignorant. Specialism is born of what the philosopher Arthur Balfour called ‘the pernicious doctrine that superficial knowledge is worse than no knowledge at all.’ Rampant specialism, an arbitrary and purely social evil, is not recognized for the crabbed guild spirit that it is, and few are bold enough to say that carving out a small domain and exhausting its soil affords as much chance for protected irresponsibility as for scientific thoroughness.” —Science: the glorious entertainment.

The plasma cosmologist Eric Lerner, author of The Big Bang never Happened, says “one of the most destructive features of the methodology of the big bang is that it conveys the idea that only people versed in extremely complicated mathematics can understand the universe… This is, of course, the argument of the emperor’s new clothes. If you can’t see the emperor’s new clothes you must be either stupid or incompetent.”

Engineers are neither stupid nor incompetent. Much of the hyped success of science over the last century can be attributed to engineers. And it is engineers who tend to prefer the real-world simplicity of the Electric Universe to the metaphysics of the big bang and black holes.
====================
A long time ago I wrote you that I had great respect and admiration for math, so much in fact that if and when I needed it I would hire a math professional and or purchase an expensive calculator. My point has been and continues to be that physics comes first followed by math, where necessary. I refuse to be denied because I am not something the paradigm cuddles, and there are millions of us similarly displeased by academia, not only the sciences but literally the whole of the corrupted institution. Thank you for being my part time science teacher, and I am sincere in that, every ball needs a wall.:smile:

This quote is sometimes attributed to Einstein. "Scientists investigate that which already is: Engineers create that which has never been."

There is a place in the world for both.

Keep on looking up and asking the hard questions. The answers will be revealed if we keep digging.

I agree with the Beav to some degree. Academia has a propensity to be a closed circuit of self importance. Award winning members have stifled studies that may refute their findings or assumptions. Science is almost as slow to change or adapt as religions are. Beware of experts for they are has been drips under pressure.

Academia stifles all that threatens the ruling paradigm of base vulgar extraction including that which escapes the thumb of organized institutionalized religion. The walls remain unbreechable by the forces of true growth and the works of man stagnate while the bankers grow fatter and fatter and fatter.

Hi, eanassir,

I see you skulking in the background. I also see that you avoid answering questions about the logic of your beliefs. You just keep repeating the same old tired message about worshiping without association. You have said it a thousand times on here but you have not convinced one single person to agree with you. Just because you keep repeating yourself is not going to make it true. You remind me of Goebbels who said, "repeat a lie often enough, and people will begin to believe it is the truth."

The response to the apostle

When people fall in the wrong-doing of each other, and in the social corruption, this will lead to their --> misguidance: God misguides them and let Satan have control over them.

Then they will deserve --> the punishment, but prior to their punishment: God will send them an apostle.

The apostle will come principally to preach the First Commandment that God is One without associate, and that people should be just and behave with good manner and avoid the bad conduct and bad habits.

The apostle is usually sent when people deviates from the principle of the First Commandment: they fall in the idolatry or the enthusiasm about their religious figures and associate them with God: as patron saints and patron imams.

So when the apostle starts his mission, people will divide into two main parties:
#the kind-hearted will respond to the apostle and will believe and then they will be saved;

#while wrong-doers will react in the opposite way and will contradict the apostle and oppose him.

This is in the Quran 6: 48-49

The explanation:
(We do not send the Envoys [: the apostles] but only as:
good tidings to bear [of Paradise for those who believe],
and warners [of fire for the idolaters and associaters];

>> whoever believes and makes amends – no fear [of devils] shall be on them [in the afterlife] , neither shall they sorrow [for leaving the life of the World].

>> But those who deny Our signs – the torment shall touch them [in the afterlife] because of their disobedience.)

Then there are those people that don't need all this in order to be good people. What is the use of having gods if you are already good?

You can discover the right answer if you ask yourself why do you like the Bahai and dislike the Islam; just as do I dislike the Bahai and like the Islam :idea:

What do you know about Prophet Hood?

Prophet Hood was sent to his people: the tribe of Aad near Yemen in the southern part of the Arab Peninsula; and that was before Moses, and of course before Jesus Christ:

((And to [the tribe of] Aad [We sent] their brother Hood;
he said: "O my people, serve God; you have no god other than He; will you not ward off [the punishment of God!]

Said the chiefs of his people who unbelieved: "We see you in folly, and we think that you are a liar."

Said he: "My people, there is no folly in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds."

"I convey to you the messages of my Lord; and I am sincere to you [with words], and faithful [with work.]"

"Do you wonder that an admonition from your Lord should come to you by [the lips of] a man from among you? That he may warn you [of the idolatry and the due punishment if you stick to it.]

Remember [the favors of God on you] that He has made you successors [to possess the land] after the people of Noah, and increased you in stature broadly; so remember the bounties of God [on you] that you may be successful."

They said: "Have you come to us that we should worship God alone, and forsake what our fathers worshipped? Then bring upon us the [chastisement] wherewith you threaten us if you are truthful!"

[Hood] said [to them]: "Illhealth and wrath from your Lord have already fallen upon you!
Do you dispute with me regarding [the false names of the idols that you have carved and graved of stones], you have named, you and your fathers, concerning which [worship] God has not sent down any commandment [in the heavenly scriptures]?

Then wait [and see the punishment]; I shall be waiting along with you."

So We delivered him [from the punishment that befell them], and those [who believed] with him by a mercy from Us, and We exterminated [all] those who cried lies to Our signs, and were not believers.))

The above was the explanation of the ayat of the Quran 7: 65-72

I liked Robin Hood better. He actually did stuff for people instead of talking their ears off.

Ahhh, Robin Hood was a commie!
Oh well. One kind of politics is just as bad as any other.

I think gods must be libertarian or anarchists. They don't seem to care about anything or anyone.

The gods are not anarchists. Anarchist care about people and take personal responsibility for their actions. The gods are atheists.

I told you hundred times that this is wrong! What does this mean: it means so many times and does not necessarily mean exactly hundred times.

So the word seventy was used by the Arab to indicate the large number of things and it does not mean exactly seventy;

and in the Quran such word "seventy" is used to indicate the large number and much asking of forgiveness; according to the language of the Arab in which the Quran was revealed.

So the Prophet meant : a large number of sects, and he did not say 73 religions, but 73 sects: will be just more than the sects of Jews and Christians by one sect.

Then when he was asked: What is such party that will be successful? he said: "The way that I follow together with my companions" - this is the successful party; and all the rest will be in Fire."
[That s because the rest are idolaters and associaters.]

This means: there is always one sect: the monotheist devoted to God alone, that follow every apostle in his time; and it is this sect that is the successful one; while all the rest do deviate from the standard way of monotheism and devotion to God alone: they are the idolaters and associaters.

And this does not mean the "Bahai".
