I suppose when the (your party here) get in, you'll become trusting to the point of gullibility, and post ferocious defenses of everything they do, no?

Is there any non-wackaloon, independent source calling it into question?

I hope you're not in charge. a $2bn deficit to a $1.9bn surplus rounds to a $4bn difference, not $3bn.

So, is it fair to say that NDP and Liberal supporters oppose surpluses?
If I remember correctly, the only federal governments with ACTUAL surpluses were Liberal

Unless a Conservative government is in power.

So, what's your desideratum? Specifically, what "services" should be provided to all by the government, and what should be the level of taxation?

Admit it, if the country was in a one-penny deficit, you'd be screaming from the housetops that Harper has DOOOOOOOMED Canada.
The Tories were in deficit - billions of deficit. The truth is emerging slowly.

The reason that I wanted to give hom the Nobel Economics award is because Harper has his degree in economics.
You want to give him a Nobel for allocating money in the budgets, then bribing administrators not to spend it and returning it to General Revenue? What, exactly is prize-worthy about that?

Got to disagree with that, The Gov't is the worst organization for delivering services. We could get most services for the half the price if they were farmed out to the private sector and the bureaucraps got laid off. They could retain one bureaucrap as a watch dog to check on deliveries.
Such baloney. Privatization his been proven to cost taxpayers more and deliver fewer services.

Like Trudeau Sr.? Cretien/Martin pulled off the illusion by slashing provincial monies for healthcare and education (one of the reasons most provinces to this day are struggling in those 2 areas). But it made nice phoney surpluses plus gave them extra money to give to their friends in Quebec.

No, what is emerging is they typical lies spread by a new government in order to shift the blame for their own financial incompetence to the previous government. It is a time honoured political tradition. And if you are complaining about deficits by the way, did you ever hang your horse on the wrong government. I think Justine will make Daddy's deficits seem like pocket change.

Re: Have you seen this man? Stephen Harper’s disappearing act

Since running for and winning his seat in the 2015 election, Harper has vanished. The absence in the House of Commons of the MP for Las Vegas/Ft. Myers is beginning to pique the curiosity of people on social media.

Conservatives will never move forward until they face up to their past

The Liberals will keep making the same arrogant mistakes over and over if they don't take a more critical view of their own history.

Funny that he and Cliffy disappeared at the same time. Not just a coincidence!

Somebody should get a pic of his hair after he has been rode hard and put up wet.

You seem to know far, far too much about this process.

Riding horses hard is where the image came from. I don't need to know where your image came from.

Why would anyone look for Harper? He made a big enough mess over the nine
years he ruled. Trudeau has a big mess and I hope he rebuilds the civil service
sooner than later. From an agriculture standpoint he is listening to us and our
new MP is working very hard for this riding as well. I didn't vote Liberal but I am
pleased with the way things are going so far

Who is this Harper guy?

He ran one of the hardest working minority gov in the history of Canada.

LOL I wouldn't trust Trudeau to rebuild a grade 5 science project. He is a politician not a Do-er.

Well I think it's a bloody mess. And I don't think he's ready at all to deal with our current challenges. It's like having dumb or dumber at the helm.

So lets look at what trudOWE has done for Canada so far.
Made us the laughing stock of all none communist countries
Made us a dumping ground for refugees
Squandered about 3 billion of our money for projects outside Canada
Threatened to stop all industry on the West Coast
Made our dollar on par with the peso
Made up his cabinet according to PC with no basis on merit. Wants to do the same to the Senate
Not bad for three months. Even his father wasn't that bad. ALmost like he studied how jr. bush did worse than his pappa and is using that as a guide on how to polarize and destroy a country.

Steve is at home, watching the television, and laughing.

Despite what his opponents may say, M. Trou d'eau is walking the same path. Every politician does, regardless of party. Canada has not elected a capable PM in more years than anyone here can remember. These days, we just vote them out after they've ticked us off.

Lord, what fools these mortals be!
