I cut my husband's hair, and at same time, trim ear and nose hair. i bought him a
nice nose hair trimmer once, but he was scared of it, he would rather let me stick
a pair of scissors up his nose, 'go figure'.;-)

Just leave it. Maybe a little Rogaine® right in the middle of your forehead to get those eyebrows to join, grow out your beard and you could get some kind of reality show telling people how to survive with a small windmill and limited supply of weed. Grizzly Beaver the Survival Guy.

My gawd Beave, use your Canadian ingenuity and grow that earhair! By next winter you could have it long enough to wrap around your neck. You'll never have to rummage around in the closet looking for a woolen scarf again.

Other useful tips for earhair:

Use it as an accessory - put pretty beads in it to match your shoes
Use it to store spare toothpicks, pens and sundry other items
braid it, curl it, twirl it, swirl it, oh my... I'm almost getting jealous of all the tricks you can do with a little extra ear hair!

Not!

Should it be trimmed and styled or left to its normal progress.

God - be glorified - has not created anything in vain.
To everything He created, there is a purpose and aim. Sometimes, we know the reason, and other times we do not know that.
For the ear-hair, I think it is better to leave as it is; but if ugly-looking or some other reasons, you may cut, but do not uproot it. That is because - according to our knowledge - such hair has a special function like preventing some dust or small particles or may be small insects from harming the ear.
If one uproots such hair, this may (but not necessarily) lead to some infection in the hair follicle, which will be like a small pit.

Some examples:
the wax of the ear: kills insects that go inside the ear; has an antiseptic effect (contains some enzymes and surface antibodies against some bacteria and fungus in particular); therefore over-enthusiastic cleaning may lead to fungal infection of the ear.

Another example: the fat excreted on the skin of the hand or other parts of the body: it gives the skin some elasticity (and also some anti-septic effect); therefore, the exaggeration in over-cleaning the skin may lead to dryness and fissuring of the skin, in addition of its exposure to some skin infection and allergy.

This is what I think; but it will not be a major crime; the crime is to associate others with God and to contradict the major Commandments.

Thankyou all, I have decided to braid, but only the hair on the earlobes the rest will be carefully trimmed to Health Canada regulation. The hair should be long enough to work with in about three months, this will give me ten mm braids on each earlobe. With little ribbons I should be able to get the look I'm after.
