If I were the opposition, I'd give Trudeau an out. There really are only two possibilities here. Either he pressured the Attorney General or he just miscommunicated his intentions so poorly as to lead her to believe that he was pressuring her. The first presents him as a liar and so directly attacks his character. The fear of the humiliation of being caught in a lie will make him double down. The second option does not attack his character, but rather just his competence, which is still humiliating but not as much. It's either one or the other, so push him to confess to his sheer incompetence as a communicator so as to distance himself from the accusation of being a liar.

How else would you explain that the Attorney General believes that the Prime Minister pressured her while the Prime Minister has already inferred that that resulted from a breakdown in communication.
Yes it takes two to communicate and the breakdown could have occurred non her side and not his. However, I get the impression that she's a clearer and more meticulous communicator than he is. That greatly increases the probability that if this was just the result of communication breakdown, he likely contributed to it far more than she did.
The best system is capitalist, modified by a social safety net. So a minimal combination of both.
I guess that is why most of the infrastructure, being built by the lowest bidder, is crumbling, made of shoddy materials. Ya, capitalism is great if you own it.

The people building the bridge are NOT the Red Army. They are a private company, a product of capitalist society.
The money to build the bridge does not come from the collective ownership of the means of production, it comes from the earnings of capitalists, and those that work for them, surrendered in taxes.
And the decision to build was made by a democratic government in a capitalist society.
And it is being built to enable trade between two capitalist countries.
Built by the capitalists, for the capitalists.
Anyone with even a partially functioning intellect would realize that the bridge is the result of a successful capitalist society......
