Well, true 'nuff but the Speaker of the House did exactly the right thing, too.
Sorry, not familiar with what the Speaker did.

Just sayin', you can disapprove of Mr. Harper all you like, but with the shooter, expecting him to rip off his shirt and take the guy down with a manly Canadian punch to the jaw is just a mite unrealistic.

Notice the millions of tearfull citiizens forming search parties to recover this lost leader.

Well, they are trying to set up a Fourth Reich out in the flatlands for him to rule for a thousand years.

You're hilarious today, Cliffy! :) :)
First off, I didn't sign the petition. I was just showing de Beav that there are people on the case. There is another petition out there wanting him charged with crimes against humanity for his war mongering, in particular Libya.

For your information I believe Cliffy is an Old age pensioner. :)
And you would be right. I'm 69 with a bad ticker. I couldn't hold a job if I wanted to. I had to quit my computer repair business because I couldn't handle it any more 4 years ago. So, to Boomer, "manger de la merde".

What the speaker did was get his pistol from his desk, go down the hall to engage the shooter, then shot him dead.

All I would add is, "Boomer, mind your own business, Cliffy's state of affairs has NOTHING to do with you"!

The guy's a bigger nerd than Bill Gates!

"There's a shooter out there! SHHHH! Don't tell 'em I'm in this broom closet!"

Glorious leader. Last of the warrior kings.

Manly men.

.... You would have played the role of Rambo, right?

Stare death in the eyes, standing at the edge of the abyss, a manly tear in yer eye as you prepared to sacrifice yourself for the betterment of humanity and all eeeeevil in the universe?

.. Of course you would, after all, you've seen a lot of movies where that is done and by virtue of that secondary experience, you have it all planned out.

He was all about control and image. I remember survey companies calling asking
if I thought he had the look of a wartime leader. He was obsessed with being
relevant which he was not. His antics going after Putin were laughable and I thought
embarrassing. The world lost nothing in this defeat but the edge of his ego.
He was a social conservative hiding in progressive conservative clothing and Canadians
figured him out

The burning question now, Grumpy, is "have we replaced him with someone any better"? Justin may be all about image!

That's Kevin Vickers, the Sergeant at Arms. Heck of a man. He was a Mountie for 30 years, rising from constable to superintendent before retiring. On the day of the shooting, he returned to his office, retrieved his sidearm, and in the tradition of great Mounties fictional (like Sgt. Preston and Const. Fraser) and real (like Sam Steele), took out the shooter with courage and athleticism whilst men younger than his own son looked on. His reward was a massive ovation in the House of Commons, which appeared to make him uncomfortable and embarrassed, and appointment as Ambassador to Ireland.

Like I said, heck of a guy.

Godwin rules.
He do at that.

You neglected to mention that Sgt Preston was always assisted by Yukon King (the Wonder Dog).

Gotta give credit where credit is due.

It was alleged that the speaker shot the mentally deranged person dead. It was alleged that this deranged person was ingaged in a crime. There was alleged bullet holes and unsupported (alleged blood) at the scene of the initial shooting. No testimony of any alleged witnesses taken under oath has been publicised. So the case cannot and shoud not remain closed. It stinks of conspiracy.

Wasn't it the "deranged person" who started the whole process?
