The end of capitalism has begun, but what will replace it?

if your money is in any kind of vehicle that earns interest, you are a capitalist

and since bad socialism eagerly incurs debt that earns interest, that kind of socialism is a capitalist plot

and that's about where we're at then, isn't it?

Take it one step further.. If anyone trades money, labor, goods, services, etc, they have actively participated in a fundamental form of capitalism.

To extend the ideal... If there are 'differences' in the lives between folks in a 'socialist' environment (I'm thinking bigger house, more comfortable, more foodstuffs, etc.) this is an expression of the results of (some form of) capitalism.

Capitalism does not need replacing it needs to be curtailed in some respects.
Capitalism needs to be more responsive to the society from which it derives
it profits. Social license is becoming more of an issue. In addition the large
corporate groups need to be limited to ensure competition. That is the answer.
However when things go too far one way they spring back too far the other.
so we are likely to end up with some kind of hybrid social democracy with a
large capitalist tax base to keep it all running.

Look at China today they used to be a Communist country not anymore they are
a corporate dictatorship with the military in control of progress. America is the
other end the so called democracy is based on capitalism but is propped up and
defended by militarized policing and defended by the military itself. Therefore the
only real institution to be sacrificed at the alter of human progress is the concept
of democracy beyond theory. We in Canada are not in fact a democracy at all
We are a constitutional Monarchy

I don't know about that Walter. People are tired of Big Corporations getting a free ride, they are also tired of 1% of the world's population owning most of the wealth.

NDP won in Alberta, and may very well win federally in Canada.. those are clear indications that people are tired.

Nope. That is an indication people are looking for a free ride.Just like Greece.

Keep on working at minimum wage for the big corporations and having them tell you you are poor because you didn't work enough, not that they aren't paying you fairly and keeping the vast majority of the money for themselves.

Get an education or a trade and you won't have to work for minimum wage.

Or organize and negociate for better wages.

My teenager doesn't even work for minimum wage.

Low expectations galore!
