9/11 and the Orwellian Redefinition of 'Conspiracy Theory'

Tuesday, 21 June 2011 05:36

'While we were not watching, conspiracy theory has undergone Orwellian redefinition.
A “conspiracy theory” no longer means an event explained by a conspiracy. Instead, it now means any explanation, or even a fact, that is out of step with the government’s explanation and that of its media pimps.
For example, online news broadcasts of RT have been equated with conspiracy theories by the New York Times simply because RT reports news and opinions that the New York Times does not report and the US government does not endorse.'

I was studying prairie mound ants.

I could see they were like Hellenic city-states.

I set up wars between them but it didn't' work. They would fight to the end if enemies ere dumped on them glass-full, but otherwise I could not make them fight. No matter how much sugar-water I put out they drew a line.

There I was, stuck out on hot dry prairies, with three ant mounds around me.

I pulled out the good one and smoked a joint.

Then I got sent back in time, and I got to see what was like from the point of view of the sons of Benjamin and from the point of view of the lassees swept away but I'm not going to tell you about that.

Well I can if I get to playsome more music:

http://tunes.digitalock.com/fromsmallthingsonedaybigthingscome.mp3

the issue was that things were do hard then a smart woman could do anything around a strong guy.

How would you guys like to learn that your long range immigration policy is solved by letting robots take care of certain thins with only Mexicans, and they have to be respectful after there took, which it turns out they were so ahead of you on.... ever been there?

I got an idea to keep industry rolling.

Europe can do it, but they're already busy.

What if I can give Mexicans a way to build a spaceship/

[SECRET Discussion between Canadian rep and Mexico]

You guys are so small minded.

Between you and us we have the US in between and we eat and are well fed and we watch the rest of the world go into chaos.

If you destroy all evil pot and grow only good, that put you in competition with Canadian Dutch biker greenhouse operators.

Do that. Grow the best, and you will **** up the mind of all except the jerkoff twinky little border guard.

Okay, I just checked out.

Europeans will take at at a lower rate and based on more stability

I'll contribute that if the Europeans are serious, they need to feed back some of the excellent dry land farming learned by the Spanish.

Christ, under there circumstances with a spanish interpreter I could show them how to get back Spanish morocco.

These conspiracy theorists above are all conservatives. Funny thing is whenever I quote from them on CC some far right neurotics think that it proves I'm a political lefty for using them.

The famous ones like Andy Rooney, J.D. Salinger, Michael Moore, Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson, Rush Limbaugh just to name a few come from both sides of the aisle.....unless you call some like Andy Rooney or Michael Moore conservatives:smile:
All of those are in there to sell books...it's the people that read those books, believe everything in them instead of reading them for entertainment ...then try to prove those theories in forums.......what more can I say

Last night I watched a movie on TV called "The Shooter"...Entertaining, with a lot of action.....do I take it as real??? hell no..

The fact that you only quote from them to bash the army of neoKKKons your paranoid imagination sees behind every opinion that differs from yours, aside. I don't care what side of the political spectrum rock you skulk under when the lights are on. Your posts are simply moronic and insipid, your crying pathetic, your blind attacks cowardly and your labeling of dissenters so far off the mark as to be absurd.

If it's on TV it's gotta be true. No?
No. In fact I tend to lean to the notion, if it's on TV, it isn't true. Until proven otherwise.

By the time the truth comes around people rarley change their minds on the first encounter with an event or situation.

Does occult **** qualify as "conspiracy theories"?

Only if it in some way ties in with the US government. Masons, the CIA, you get the picture.

And accepting what you've been told without question is a sign of true intelligence?

Actually, no, it's not a sign of intelligence. But neither is accepting lock, stock and barrel the opposite of what's being told just because it is the opposite.

Anyone who blindly accepts either extreme is probably not questioning enough, not thinking enough.

If it's on TV it's gotta be true. No?

Don't be dissing tv now! TV, like the internet, is a paragon of truth and virtue!

(P.S. I don't really believe that, I'm just trying to rationalize my Rogers bill.)

There's no probably about it.

This forum is filled with dhimwits, and anti Americans. Who cut and paste so much Op/Ed, theory and loonacy, like it's fact, that just simply proves they spend no time thinking at all.

No, there is no probably about it.

I'm tired of all the anti-everything, we need more pro-something to balance it all out.

I may be cynical, but in my heart truly I'm a closet optimist. There's got to be something positive somewhere in the world.

Do people still go to libraries other than to borrow DVD's?

The library in Nakusp is a very busy place and I see people reading books all over town. There is one lady who reads while walking and she walks miles a day. She averages a book every day or two.
