So when are you gunna admit you are being hypocritical here, since the liberals were the ones that got us into it????
All of a sudden you have nothing to say, eh?

Agreed ... liberals were in power when Canadian troops were committed to NATO and UN assignment in Afghanistan. Harpo wanted to suck up with Bush in his Assault on Iraq. Who's being hypocritical?

Certainly not me....
If Harper wants to agree with Bush about Iraq, that isn't hypocritical either. He's not saying one thing today and something else yesterday.

If you disagree with the rationale which led to the Iraq war, then you should not vote Conservative.

If you disagree with the rationale which led to the Afghan war, then you shouldn't vote Conservative or Liberal.

That just leaves the NDP or the Greens.

Personally, I agree with the Afghan war, but now I favor negotiating a truce with the Taliban as long as they refuse to allie themselves with anyone allegedly involved in 9/11 and don't interfere with western attempts to bring these people to justice. Canada should even fund Taliban efforts to build mosques, schools, hospitals and other projects of mutual interest and encourage them to seek power by democratic means.

Regarding Iraq: Lying to justify an unprovoked war of aggression against the Iraqi people was a war crime and the people responible should be brought before the International Court of Justice and tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Harper supported this war crime. If he had involved Canada in that war, I'd be in favor of putting him before the ICJ too. Fortunately for him and Canada, he was just an opposition leader at the time.
Hmmm, Global TV had an interview with Jacko this evening. When asked what he would do regarding the economic situation facing us, he did not have an answer. Just vote NDP for a change was his answer, and repeated it when the question was repeated. A vote for NDP would be a serious mistake. He has no idea what to do.

When asked for the first three weeks of this election about a platforn, Harpo insisted stay the course ... Canada is in good shape. What changed and why is it okay for him to avoid answers?

Whether or not Harper would skyrocket the cost,

The Liberals are the ones who got us there Socrates.

The Liberals got us into the war, the war is their issue. Just admit it.

If you don't like that, vote for another party, vote NDP or Green, but the war is a liberal matter.

The first phase of the Afghan war was not a NATO operation. It was a US mission called Operation Enduring Freedom. Canada got involved in that mission, but it was not a war crime. It was a response to an act of war...9/11 and therefore legal.

The International Security Assistance Force was approved by the UNSC and therefore legal.

When a NATO member is attacked like the US was on 9/11, Canada has a NATO obligation to support that nation's efforts to defend itself. The other choice was to withdrawl from NATO. I don't blame the Liberals for choosing to remain in NATO.

BS!

Seems to me he said that he would save money by pulling Canada out of Afghanistan and he hinted that he would force the banks to pass the Bank of Canada's prime rate reduction along to Canadians. He also said that he would not cut taxes for the wealthy but keep tax rate where they are. His comments about sticking together are a little vague. But what do you expect, he's a politician. He also said that he would spend the saved money diverted from these other programs on training, healthcare, doctors, nurses, childcare...

Zzarcove the Liberals agreed in with all the NATO alliance to contribute to the war in Afghanistan, I did not want Canada involved on a war as a citizen of this country…………..but the Liberals did not wake up one morning and said Canada has decided to go to war……….
If NATO was not a part of the picture, Canada would not be in Afghanistan today……………
We would feel bad if Canada was excluded from being a partner with all NATO alliances….
And if Harper had gone In Iraq, while we caught him red handed lying, Canada would have definitely hit the theater of a serious depression….
The Liberals did this in the time of the IRAQ WAR……………….

My pleasure to turn you and Risus on to this………………….
A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven.Jean Chretien

When discussing what type of proof Canadians wanted from the US before assisting in a war with Iraq.
This is considered one of Chretien's most memorable quotes.

Hey Risus who is the Hypocrite here….THE LIBERALS OR THE CONS????????:p:p:idea:

Harpo in his speech today defending the cost of the war (now put at 18 billion from the 21.1 this morning) said and I quote"...when we invaded Afghanistan..."

This is not what we do, support perhaps, participate perhaps but invade. I hope this caught the ears of those watching his speech.

Harpo irresponsibility at its best. He sickens me. He is on his soap box alone and he can spout all he wants. With his hard connections to Busharoo and other `Roo officials, he is not to be trusted with our country.
