Election's not going to make him any more defensible ... just a lot more defensive. A softer government will do that ... and moving day (if we are so blessed) can REALLY piss one off.

Enjoy that weekend.
Ya, have a good weekend, too!

I know what we won't see, a mojority bu any party and that's fine by me.

What will be intersting is if Harper forms the governemnt will he be arrogant enough to ram through his crime bill like he said he would.

It could go either way, it has happened in the past were the underdog came back to win big. Dion may wear that jacket yet…. It’s not over until is over……………..

1% = 1 seat

Re -- If conservatives Were to get 50% out of the 50% of people who vote..Conservatives still only represent 25% of the Canadian population..Conservatives therefore don't represent aprox,75% of Canadians!..Is this true democracy?
This is why some call The P.M.....Steve or Mr.Harper...Although out of repsect for the Canadian system we give him the title P.M...
P.R. (proportional representation) would be a better electoral system in Canada..1%=1 seat...!..True balance!
I have faith in Canada and its people but as it stands right at the moment .>Democracy is an illusion!.(just 4 you scratch lol)
I hope more people(i wish 100%)will take the initiative to vote for their future!
Hey I gotta idea!(yeah, yeah,.....I know , I know...Ohoh..Here we go again!lol),,We allow a vote for every Women ,man and child in Canada(sorry no pets allowed)..Parents are responsible for their Child(rens)vote until they turn 18..This would make voting for your country an honour and a priviledge!NON?
Wonder how that would change the political spectrum???
It should be the law to vote!..That's how you ensure democracy!!..lol

Perhaps, but it won't be a majority and that saves us from that goofy carbon tax.

Or pay politicians on a piece work basses.. Each project they take on to do if they save money for the tax payer, then they will be entitled to a fair bonus system……4 year mandate with a yearly progress report.
On the other hand if they mess badly like a quick example Bush he gets nothing, no bonus on the third year the bad politician gets replaced allowing 1 year for familiarization, and that may protect the tax payer………………………Unfortunately the politicos in office would not go for this type of a fair system…..

We obviously would have saved money if we pulled out of Afganistan, but that was not possible as we have a commitment to being there, a commitment established by the liberals I might add.

Would you like me to find Conservative quotes supporting the Afghan mission? It is dishonest to insinuate that the Conservatives would not have joined this mission. Both the Conservatives and the Liberals voted for this mission. Both the Conservatives and the Liberals voted for extending the mission.

So it would be more correct to say "a commitment established by the Liberals and supported by the Conservatives".

The NDP and the Bloc voted against the mission from the beginning and voted against extending the mission.

What is interesting also is that Bush played the same crap with the vote counts in Florida,
and stole the position from Gore,
while the conservatives on record illegally over speanding on the 2006 election and won unfairly.............
If that is what Conservetism is about thank God my Dad told me when I was young to stay Liberal...............

No man just a saying, you want to know the truth? my Dad back in Europe and here in Canada always voted conservative, but he, god blesh his soel, was able to tel me that if a liberal has a good report card in the area where you live, (I was 25 years old when he told me that...) vote for them, the reason I voted Conservative in the liberal riding I was, simply to keep the Liberals honest" was the answer..............But if in your area they deserve the medal give it to them, they are better finacial manegers then the Conservatives, he also bilived strongly that the Coservative party of Canada had the making of a strong oposition......only oposition.........

To be on the helm for a 4 year term when you look at the elements of freedom, transperency, unique financial fiscall responsabilety, and one man Government......it would be bad political speculation that the Conservatives would make a good responsable Government.

Oooops, Bob Rae and Michael Ignatieff have turned on dion and the carbon tax, saying now is not the time to introduce it.

Also the World Economic Forum has ranked Canadian banks as the world's strongest supporting what Harper has been saying all along.

Could you give me a link for this information please.

Of course our banks are strong, the libs made sure of that with tough regulation, the cons of lil Stevie had nothing to do with it and Harper hasn't been able to screw it up with a minority government.
