Sure, I use the same fugures and conditions the cons (some within the Harper cabinet) used when Bob Rae ran up deficits in Ontario....that was bad....somehow this time....it's good.

I do know this...the Tories are spending more than the Libs did and threw away 17 billion in income by cutting the GST....so...we had a wittle recession...is this not time to reduce spending as per the request of Reformers and Cons in the 90's?

Roll your chair outside and get some sun.

A lot of this spending that you and S.J.P. continue to yap about is actually money that has been put back in the taxpayers pockets, which is a good thing due to the fact the taxpayer makes better use of spending money than the gov't does. I guess you guys are just too frickin' thick to grasp that rather simple concept that my 9 year old grand daughter is able to understand.

They've kept the corrupt Liberals out of power for over four years.

That's not an accomplishment. Electing a troop of monkeys would have accomplished the same thing, and probably would still have resulted in less SH!T flying around inside Parliament.

Oh, a new accomplishment today. Mandatory environmental assessments have been replaced for all mining projects which receive funding from Ottawa, with a completely discretionary process to be mandated by the Minister of the Environment.

Oh, and hiding them in a budget bill instead of debating them separately...classy.

Sometimes red tape exists to keep citizens safe...

What nice dusting of sugar.
Dusting of sugar, load of syrup, dollop of whipped cream, mashed spuds, brussel sprouts, etc. Whatever you want to call it is irrelevant. Those are only Harper's accomplishments.

Funny, I can't find a list of accomplishments on Martin or Chretien other than the few items mentioned beside their names here: List of Prime Ministers of Canada - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia but it doesn't matter, as this thread is about the Conservative legacy and the conservative legacy is pretty long considering there've only been about 15 conservative PMs.

And 6 out of the 15 staid in power for less then a year due to a poor election platform, a general election took place and they were shown the door. Great legacy.

I believe they're called INTERIM..... Please avail yourself to the services of a dictionary.

The only difference is Tories jump ship and Liberals ride waves of popularity. Otherwise, both become disappointments because they both do the same things: look out for their interests.

Hey if the Conservatives were anything worth voting for, let History speak for it self. If you think the word majority consists of stooges, you don’t think much of your country.Since Confederation Canada has shown who is fit to rule and who is a phoney.Liberalism was chosen with out force, don’t forget that , this is not Russia where the tanks roll in and you vote for me. The people long ago realised that Conservativism is a second choice not first.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

They sure are worth more than whatever the Libs are....and the results show that. Pray Ontario doesn't show them the door like every other Province has.

Plus....very few governments get 50 plus % of the votes dear fellow therefore the majority do not vote Liberal or any other way...but you can keep believing otherwise.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:.

More eyerolls....I win.

Harper has done a fairly decent job and is a brilliant tactician in politics which is why he burns the Libs at almost every turn.

I'd vote for the cons if I didn't hate my local candidate so much.:angryfire:

Exactly. Forget merit or anything worthwhile, if they last a long time that's the important thing. Quantity over quality. yup.
