This is not a new phenomenon....it happens on every forum at election time. The partisans are whipped up, waving their colours, throwing mud at the others, anything that will stick really. And the apologists....oh man. I haven't noticed anything new this time around. Same old shyte, new pile.
I could have scripted it myself just by going through the old threads at the time of the last election.

The funny thing is, if more and more people "Wasted" their votes by voting for every other party but Liberal and Conservative, it wouldn't actually be a waste of a vote would it? That's because less votes go to the two sides of the same coin and go to other parties, and thus change the perspective of our political system. Not only that, but the power would shift as well.
I can't believe people still buy into that old line "If you don't vote for us, or if you vote for so in so, then you're throwing away your vote."
I kinda thought our vote was our's to waste in the first place..... or not use at all.

Exactly.....back in the Neolithic Age, I voted NDP. I never felt I wasted my vote.
I quit voting once I realized how dangerous to liberty the left really was.......but......
Then, after Mulrooney proved to be a complete ass, I joined Reform and helped destroy utterly Mulrooney's PC Party.
I voted Reform in New Brunswick.........I never felt I wasted my vote.
I must admit, it is nice to vote for winners for a change, but I'd dump the CPC in a heartbeat if something better came along, even if it was tanked in the polls.....
I can only vote for my MP as we all are limited, so I grilll the hell out of each one, review their merits, experience, background and vote upon that.

At the worst, the NDP is Democratic-Socialist..... not Fascist. They one of the only parties in our government who actually take the time to listen to the public's needs and wishes, unlike how the Liberals and Conservatives just assume what the public wants and does whatever they think is best, regardless of protests or opposition.
There is nothing ever good that comes from having a country 100% Democratic, 100% Communist, 100% Socialist, 100% Capitalist or 100% Fascist, because each system of government can be abused to the extreme if given total freedom from the others. Each system has their pros and their cons, which is why our system of government for so long has been a blend between Democracy, Socialism & Capitalism.
And if you don't believe me when it comes to the Socialism aspect and think Socialism is a horrible thing, go take a look at our government, hospitals, police, military, fire departments, schools, etc. and tell me there is no Socialism aspects in those areas.
Where you come up with Fascist towards the NDP only shows me that you're really ignorant on political systems and just want to use the word because it sounds cool and evil in your head.
