I don't know about attend the Lodge but there is no shortage of people who would think green beer is like drinking Dom Perignon after years of drinking Salon Selectives and anti bacterial lotion from the mall.

I've heard it can destroy your liver. In the old days when Santa (he was a shaman) gave them out, he pre-digested it and the people only partook of his urine.
Pantherinas will really give you cramps but Amanita arefairly easy going. They look alike and have similar effects. They are nothing like the cubensis which is a full body trip. Aminitas will give you an out of body experience where you can dance with angels or pass through the underworld like a Pharaoh.

Most people who do shrooms never really take enough to walk with the gods which is good because sometimes the gods aren't always happy.

The Catholics have always seemed pretty reasonable to me in the "having fun" department. It's those miserable Scots Presbyterians you have to watch out for.

Terrorists don't like Christmas? Terrorists don't like anything, and especially not themselves.

Terrorists pick symbolic targets. This time of year, nothing symbolises Christianity corrupted by love of consumption and spending more than Christmas, so anything to do with Christmas is a logical target for this particular type of terrorist.

Northern Ontario,
I find it interesting that the term "Muslim," or mention of any religious following doesn't
take place in the Opening Post, and doesn't happen until post #7 in this Thread,
unless I'm mistaken. Very PC to avoid openly offending anyone, though hints are
given with the counry this young man origionated from, & his name, etc...

....without actually stating a religion. The implied attack against Christianity isn't
directly mentioned either, but the fudged attack was against a Christmas Tree
lighting ceremony. Some very carefull writing in that story.

The fringe left and that would include 'atheists' and "joohaters" find offence at anything that isn't PC (I almost said Kosher:smile:) and will use anything to denigrate you, right up to calling you bigot and racist!

And accusing you of stalking and libel to boot...

Sounds like entrapment.

BTW, I don't like Xmas either. In grade 7 (1959) I wrote a Xmas composition while attending Catholic school in Quebec called "Santa Clause is a Capitalist Pig." As you can imagine, that went over like a lead balloon. I still am disgusted at the opulence and decadence of what began as a reason to help the poor.

So you were even a brat 51 years ago!

I don't know if you guys have the same understanding of terrorism that I have. It's not about anything other than all out war without any rules. The concept of "I am going to kill as many of you people as I possibly can that strikes fear into the hearts of those who survive." is actually how I think war should be. Terrorism is logical in that when in an all out war, you use the worst and most effective weapon you have in your arsenal to inflict the heaviest damages and fear on your enemy as you possibly can.

What we have done to war is crazy. In an attempt to sanitize it, win the hearts and minds of those we're blowing up by trying not to blow all of them up at once and still maintaining a serious economic growth margin in the economic and prime time viewing sectors is paramount now. War should be Hell on Earth for each and every person involved. Instead it's something on tv to zip past as you look for Survivor, Family Guy or Glee while you eat dinner.

If we as a nation used our military to fight the wars we enter like the terrorists fight the wars they wage we would have a hell of lot fewer wars and a hell of a lot more security than we now have.

The police did everything right in catching psycho boy and his xmas death wish. But if we want to get beyond this endless enema of wars that dwindle into "withdraw with Honour" bull**** we should change the rule of engagement to try and kill everyone and negotiate with what ever can crawl out of the rubble.

I don't find that terribly surprising as Xmas is supposed to be a time of "peace on earth and good will toward men".

Sounds like entrapment.

It's not entrapment at all. When they do this, they are able to garner enough evidence against the person who would go through with this regardless(he would have just found other means if he wasn't given this "opportunity") so he can be tried in court. Also, there is the chance they could flush out other potential terrorists doing a sting like this. I find this no different than a sting that would be performed against either biker gangs or other types of gangs.

I wish that they could forgo human rights and the charter for terrorists.

have the "eye for an eye" charter for terrorists that are caught.

Sure. And next week, we'll forgo human rights and the charter for drinking and driving. And the week after that, we'll do the same for daring to question the police as to why they've stopped you, or for correcting the police when they mispronounce your name. Oh, right, we're already there on those last two.
