There is a $100,00.00 reward offered to anyone who produces a video showing all the alleged slurs.

So far, no takers.

Just because no video exists doesn't mean it didn't happen. The people offering $100,000 know this, and they also know that some people are stupid enough to believe that a reward will prove whether these slurs were actually uttered or not.

Nowadays you can not go into a crowd and not see someone with a cellphone or a video camera.

I agree, maybe the slurs DID happen. But if they did, it must have been liberal/Democrat agents provocateurs well paid by their liberal/Democrat masters.

Oh the irony. Or something. I love when the religious self rightious right names their group after a sex act. I've heard gays do this all the time and black people have done it too.
What does the name"Tea Party' have to do with sex?

Of course. Still needs to be recording at the correct time and place to capture specific events, doesn't it?

Non-sequitur.

Wrong video of health protest spurs N-word feud

Three Democratic congressmen — all black — say they heard racial slurs as they walked through thousands of angry protesters outside the U.S. Capitol. A white lawmaker says he heard the epithets too. Conservative activists say the lawmakers are lying.
What does the video show? Not much. Indeed, new interviews show that a much-viewed YouTube recording cited as evidence by conservatives was actually shot well after the time in question.
It was March 20, near the end of the bitter health care debate, when Reps. John Lewis, Andre Carson and Emanuel Cleaver say that some demonstrators, many of them tea party activists, yelled the "N-word" as the congressmen walked from House office buildings to the Capitol.
Stung by the charges of racism, conservatives and tea party activists insist it never happened. And one of them is offering big money if anyone can prove it did.
With so many media and citizen cameras at the demonstration, any epithets would have been caught on tape, says Andrew Breitbart. He's the web entrepreneur who released the video of ACORN workers counseling actors posing as a pimp and prostitute, and has pledged $100,000 to the United Negro College Fund if anyone provides proof of the epithets.

That's interesting, because the events in the youtube video are eerily similar to those described as where the racial slurs happened....man with hands cupped, coming up the stairs, etc. Plus JJ Jr. hand not one but two cell phone cameras that he was more than happy to stick in the guys face.

Surely JJ Jr. has tape of the slurs.

I'm just sayin.

Or did he forget to turn his camera's on?
Darn.

Republican Tea Baggers are pretending that political lefties are trying to mischaracterize them. But the record clearly shows what's actually going on:

Right-wing Hoax? UPDATED

Right-wing Hoax? UPDATED - Greg Correll - Open Salon

A story has been circulating among the right-wing blogosphericals that purports to be about leftist/socialist "disrupters" of the Tea Party events on the 15th. It has cropped up on AP, and I predict it will go wide on Fox tonight. Malkin already covered it.

Someone named "Jason Levin in Albany" surfaced just long enough to give an interview to "someone", promoting "his site" http://crashtheteaparty.org/.

The funny thing is, there's no site there. I mean there's this one page with an image (no real text) that asks you to join them, to infiltrate the Tea party events, to carry racist and crazy signs. The site's link choices are to "crash" -- takes you to a discussion board (populated entirely by about 25 rightwing hoaxers).

Or you can answer a question: are you a capitalist? (takes you to a simple online store to buy crasher t-shirts; "a bunch of shirts with the OFFICIAL Crashtheteaparty Logo on them! Be the coolest looking kid at the next rally or bookburning…Get yours today!!!" -- does that sound like any liberal you ever heard?) or a socialist? (takes you to a PayPal donations page!)

Oh, and you can go to Twitter or their Facebook page (again: almost all rightwing Tea-Partiers talking to each other; run by a guy called "maddy hatter")

Huh?

Working in the net biz I investigated. A (rightwing) Free Republic commenter claims it was originally listed this way:

The address?

Reverse phone-lookup on the number shows this:

Sheila R Lamonsoff

I sort of doubt this old woman is connected.

So I explored ARIN IP data for the site domain. Now it gets very interesting.

IP Address: 66.96.130.99 (ARIN & RIPE IP search)
IP Location: US(UNITED STATES)-NEW YORK-NEW YORK
DMOZ no listings
Y! Directory: see listings
Data as of: 23-Apr-2008

66.96.130.99 is enduranceinternational.com

CEO? "Steven "Steve" Sydness (born c. 1956) is a politician and businessman who was a North Dakota Republican Party candidate for one of North Dakota's United States Senate seats in 1992, and is the current CEO of the Endurance International Group in Massachusetts.[1]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Sydness.

He is also on the board of a conservative Christian Science school.

Endurance also hosts this site: Eastside Republican Club and many others, including some Christian sites--but interestingly, no progressive or liberal sites. And they do NOT list the "crashers" site in their complete C license listings.

Why should they want to hide it, if "Levin" is just some schmo who paid to host his site there?

Could it be that this is a disinformation campaign created by Republican/Tea Partiers to obfuscate their use of racist, homophobic, violent, lunatic signs at their rallies?

One more funny thing: no one ever heard of Jason Levin. The rightwing bloggers all quote the same viral story, originating from thin air. No one named Jason Levin has surfaced in the flesh, nor has his interviewer stepped forward.

Curiouser and Curiouser. Mad Hatters indeed.

The reality is that it is a disinformation campaign created by Republican/Tea Partiers to obfuscate their use of racist, homophobic, violent, lunatic signs at their rallies.

Even three years later there has been no proof found of racial slurs.
