The last time some Russians got targeted a whole bunch of US/Mossad/Cia types died when a cruise missile took out their mountain hideout. Leaked intel would point to the US being the ones that leaked it.

The preliminary investigation into the death of Russian Lieutenant-General Asapov near Syrian Deir ez-Zor has shown data leaks to Daesh, a source in the Syrian security forces told Sputnik.

“The results of a preliminary investigation into the death of general Asapov in Deir ez-Zor evidences a leak of information on his location to the side that carried out the attack,” the source said.
Lieutenant-General Valery Asapov died on Sunday after sustaining a "fatal injury" in a Daesh shelling near Deir ez-Zor, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

While the Iranian government is interested in settling the Syrian crisis, Washington is pursuing the opposite, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in New York on Wednesday.

"Today it seems to me that priorities have changed and for the government of the US it is more important to prevent the Syrian government from taking over the border with Iraq than it is to defeat ISIS [Daesh]," Zarif said in an interview with the Asia Society, a non-profit based in New York.
The minister underscored that Tehran is interested in ending the conflict in Syria. At the same time, according to him, the settlement of the crisis is not the priority goal for Washington.
As for Iran's involvement in Syria, it is aimed not at supporting any of the groups, but at "fighting terrorism," Zarif stressed.

Foiling US Plans to Steal Syria's Oil
Now to Syria” – says the presenter of “AM”, as if it were the most natural and obvious subject to report on, despite the stunning silence of the previous two weeks.
Could it be that we are about to hear an update on the momentous developments across the country, which only went unreported because of the crisis over North Korea and various natural and man-made disasters around the planet?
Perhaps I really thought so for a moment, reasoning that our blinkered media were going to have to find a way to tell us sooner or later that the US just effectively declared war on Russia. No-one who read the statements from the Russian Ministry of Defence could doubt the seriousness of the situation, following the “Joint” terrorist operation in Idlib that nearly took 30 Russian Military Police hostage. The Ministry had been unusually blunt and uncompromising, directly accusing the US of collaboration with Al Qaeda/Nusra, apparently in a desperate attempt to disrupt the Russian-Syrian advance across the Euphrates in Deir al Zour.
With each day that passed since the September 19th operation, and the subsequent dramatic destruction of the terrorist army and its extensive military hardware, I grew more incredulous at the media silence, seeing not one report on radio or TV or print media in Australia – in common apparently with other Western countries. Even the dramatic shots of cruise missiles emerging from Russian subs in the Mediterranean failed to grab the attention of this media machine.

Russia Confirms Turkey S-400 Deal Finalized, Advanced Payment Received
The contract on supplying Russian S-400 missile systems to Turkey is being fulfilled and Ankara has already made the advance payment, Russian presidential aide for military and technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said on Friday.
"The contract has entered into force, the advance payment has been made, I cannot say about the timeframe now," Kozhin said.
The issue of giving to Turkey production technologies for S-400 systems has not been discussed; the parties have agreed only supplies of produced systems, he added. "We are not speaking about it, as yet we speak only about supplies of ready weapons, technologies - no," he said.
On September 12, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara had signed an agreement with Moscow to purchase S-400 missile systems and had already made an advance payment. Kozhin told TASS such a contract had been signed and was about to be implemented. Turkish Undersecretary for Defense Industry Ismail Demir said the delivery of S-400 systems would begin within two years.

Conflict Censorship? YouTube Deletes Footage of Coalition Airstrikes
Footage of coalition airstrikes against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Iraq has been removed and restricted by YouTube, sparking a furious censorship row for the video sharing site.
Videos allowing the world to see the devastation of the war have been deleted by YouTube – videos which offer press and public alike a rare window of transparency on the behavior of coalition forces.
This is in spite of jihadist propaganda remaining rife on the web.
Official coalition videos, released by the US Central Command and International Coalition for Operation Inherent Resolve, have been taken off the sharing platform or had age restrictions applied.

Report: Hariri, Jumblat Adhere to Ministerial Statement, Reject Normalization with Syria
Prime Minister Saad Hariri and leader of the Democratic Gathering bloc MP Walid Jumblat have reportedly rejected all attempts aiming to “normalize” relations with Syria, and have stressed adherence to the ministerial statement, the pan-Arab al-Hayat daily reported on Tuesday.
Sources that followed up on Sunday's meeting told the daily Tuesday that both men have “affirmed adherence to the content of the ministerial statement regarding neutralization of Lebanon from the wars and conflicts raging around it. They have rejected attempts to normalize ties with the Syrian regime under the pretext that there is a need for this communication to discuss the return of Syrian refugees to their towns and villages.”
Speaking on condition of anonymity the sources stressed that Hariri and Jumbalt “refuse to pave the way for relations with the Syrian regime through political talks.”
Hariri-Jumblat meeting took place in the presence of Culture Minister Ghattas Khoury, MP Wael Abu Faour and Nader Hariri, the premier's chief of staff.
The sources pointed out that the solution for the issue of displaced Syrians “will not be through the organization of political and media campaigns that drive into more political tension,” they said.
However they stressed the need for the return of the displaced back to Syria “because Lebanon can not bear the burden of hosting them in light of the economic and financial situation.”
They considered “incitement campaigns” against the displaced as “unbeneficial” but saw a role for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, “which has to determine the safe areas in Syria to arrange the procedures to return them.”

Head of Syria ex-Qaida Group 'Critical' after Russia Strike, Says Moscow
Russia said on Wednesday it had killed 12 field commanders of al-Qaida's former Syria affiliate, adding the group's top leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani had lost an arm and was in a "critical condition."
Defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said the strike was the result of a special operation to avenge an attack on Russian military police in the so-called Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria on September 18.
"As a result of the strike, the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra Abu Mohammed al-Jolani received multiple serious shrapnel wounds, lost an arm and is in a critical condition, according to several independent sources," Konashenkov said in a statement.
He said 12 field commanders including al-Jolani's security chief were also killed along with some 50 guards.

http://en.mehrnews.com/news/128484/US-after-creating-second-Israel-in-eastern-Syria
TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) – Iranian Leader’s Senior Adviser Ali Akbari Velayati warns that the increasing presence of the US in eastern Syria signifies their intention to split the region. They have the same plot for Iraq, looking for the formation of a second Israel. Speaking at a meeting with Syria’s envoy to Tehran, Ali Akbar Velayati stated that Syria’s government and president Bashar al-Assad proved their support for the Resistance in the region. The US and Saudi Arabia thought they could defeat Syria within a few weeks, but with the guidance of Bashar al-Assad, the government and its people managed to resist for six years, eventually winning an international war.
“The government and people of Syria guarded the honor of the resistance, and demonstrated that it is possible to stand against an evil and international plot.” He added.
Velayati went on to say that without doubt, the hostility of the US and the Zionist regime will bear no fruit in the face of Resistance Front. He was certain that Syria’s government will make further efforts to maintain their territorial integrity.
He noted that the region’s situation is very complicated, but terrorists, extremist groups and their supporters have been defeated, adding that the countries of the region have consensus on their shared interests which makes them triumphant against the disintegration plots of their enemies.

The clips, released by the Defense Ministry on its official YouTube channel and social media feeds, show recent attacks by Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers against the terrorist group in the province of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

On Tuesday, Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that Russian planes had carried out a total of 182 strikes against Daesh over the last 24 hours.
The strikes were preceded by drone-based reconnaissance showing fortified Daesh positions on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River near the city of Mayadin, about 70 km west of Syria's border with Iraq.

Report: U.S. Sanctions against Hizbullah 'Neutralize Army, Banks'
Concerns linger that Lebanon might be harmed by the US sanctions that will be “officially approved against Hizbullah in three weeks,” but the visits of parliamentary and banking delegations to Washington last spring succeeded at “neutralizing key and important” sectors from the sanctions, al-Mustaqbal daily reported on Tuesday.
Informed diplomatic sources on Lebanon-US relations do not deny the sanctions' effect on the country.
They told the daily that contacts with Washington have succeeded at “neutralizing important sectors primarily the banks, aid to the Lebanese army, and the Shiite community in general as a major community involved in Lebanese society. Even some names that were leaked as being subject to sanctions are no longer targeted,” they said.
According to the sources, “the law in principle will have repercussions on Lebanon, but the most important goal of the delegations that visited Washington was, which actually happened, neutralizing the relations of the banking sector with correspondent banks, because all the deliberations in Lebanon are in the US dollar.”
The U.S. Congress is seeking new ways to tighten sanctions against Hizbullah.
The Foreign Affairs Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, chaired by Republican Representative Ed Royce, passed a bill late in September to further sanction the party.
Royce had argued that “Hizbullah and Iran are reportedly introducing game-changing facilities into the region – independent factories that can produce rockets to be used against Israel and our allies. We also have reports of missile factories opening up in Lebanon near mosques, homes, hospitals, and schools,” said Royce.
He said the Committee is “taking action against Hizbullah and its sponsor Iran, by passing legislation that tightens the screws on Hizbullah’s financial operations globally,.”
Lebanese media reports said that the bill authorizes US President Donald Trump to freeze the assets of “high-ranking Lebanese political figures who deal with Hizbullah.”
One bill will reportedly target Hizbullah's ability to raise funds and deprives it of access to the international financial system and the financial institutions.
It also increases pressure on Lebanese and foreign banks that deal with Hizbullah and its leadership.
A second bill slaps sanctions on Hizbullah for “violating human rights in the July 2006 war through using civilians as human shields,” reports said.

PressTV-US weapons seized from terrorists in Syria: Video
Footage has been released by the Syrian Defense Ministry showing arms and munitions seized from various terrorist groups throughout the country.
The footage was released on Monday, along with a report showing that most of confiscated arm are made by the US or its allies.
The report goes on to note that the arms were obtained by the terrorists via various channels and companies in Eastern Europe with ties to the US and NATO, and had entered Syria via Turkey or Saudi Arabia.
It also shows that Daesh and the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham terror groups had been supplied with rockets, rifles, machine-guns, anti-air weapons, and even tanks in exchange for oil stolen from wells in Syria and Iraq.
The Tel Aviv regime has also been implicated in the report, which offers evidence that Israel is providing Nusra Front terrorists with arms.

PressTV-
US supplying munitions to Daesh, Nusra terrorists: Top Syrian general

A high-ranking Syrian military commander says the United States is supplying various kinds of munitions to Daesh Takfiri terrorists and members of the foreign-sponsored and Takfiri Jabhat Fatah al-Sham – previously known as the Nusra Front – militant group, not the so-called moderate armed opposition.
“We know that the United States delivered 1,421 truckloads of military hardware between June 5 and September 15 this year to terrorists in Syria. The weapons were purportedly intended to be used in the fight against terrorists, but eventually fell into the hands of Daesh and Nusra Front militants,” the chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Syrian Army, General Ali al-Ali, said in Damascus on Monday.
He added that Takfiri terrorists in Syria were getting weapons bought under the Pentagon's program of assistance to armed anti-Damascus moderates.
Walid Khali, a Syrian army official, also said Jabhat Fatah al-Sham terrorists, who attacked Russian troops stationed in Syria’s west-central province of Hama on September 18, carried weapons made in the United States, Belgium and France.
The remarks came a day after Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said the United States is using its air force to protect Daesh militants from Syrian government forces.

Military Source Says Lieberman Remarks 'Totally Contradict with Reality'

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman's claim that the Lebanese Army has become “an integral part of Hizbullah” is a statement that “totally contradicts with reality,” a Lebanese military source has said.
Lieberman's remarks “carried a level of contradictions that cannot be taken seriously,” the source told al-Joumhouria newspaper in an interview published Wednesday.
“Lieberman considered that the Lebanese Army has become an integral part of Hizbullah, and this statement totally contradicts with reality, seeing at the U.S. and the UK are offering generous military aid to the Lebanese Army and they have confirmed that they will continue equipping the army while voicing their continued confidence in the military institution,” the source said.
“The Lebanese Army is fully independent and it implements the decisions of the political authority,” the Lebanese military source added.
The source also stressed that the army's “main mission is to protect all Lebanese territory and it has nothing to do with linking fronts or any fighting outside the border.”
The Army Command issued an official statement later on Wednesday noting that the remarks attributed by al-Joumhouria to the military source "do not reflect its stance, regardless whether these remarks are correct or not."
Lieberman said Tuesday that Lebanon and Syria would constitute "one front" in the event of any future war.
"There is now only one front in the north composed of Lebanon, Syria, Hizbullah, the Bashar al-Assad regime and all those who help his regime," Lieberman added, claiming that the Lebanese Army has lost "its independence by becoming an integral part of Hizbullah, which gives it its orders."

U.S. Steps Up Rhetoric against Hizbullah
The United States has stepped up its rhetoric against Hizbullah, slapping rewards on two commanders and urging allies to blacklist the group.
U.S. President Donald Trump is due to unveil a new strategy to counter Iran later this week, but in the meantime senior officials singled out Tehran's ally in Syria and Lebanon.
Washington and the Lebanese movement have been foes since 1983, when the group was blamed by for deadly suicide bombings against its embassy and a U.S. barracks in Beirut.
Since then Hizbullah has become a powerful military force in the region and been implicated in several international attacks -- but also a fixture in Lebanese politics.
Some U.S. allies impose sanctions on Hizbullah's "military wing" while tolerating the group's role as a political party representing many Lebanese Shiites in government.
But U.S. counterterrorism chief Nicholas Rasmussen and ambassador-at-large for counterterrorism Nathan Sales said that Washington would never accept this distinction.
"Countering Hizbullah is a top priority for the Trump administration," Sales told reporters, announcing the rewards for two alleged top-level Hizbullah operatives.
Sales said the State Department would pay $7 million for information that leads to Talal Hamiyah, alleged head of Hizbullah's "External Security Organization."
A further $5 million is on offer for leads on Fuad Shukr, "a senior military commander" of Hizbullah in Lebanon.
U.S. officials believe Shukr was born in 1962, either in Beirut or the Bekaa Valley.
Talal Hamiyah's U.S. Treasury terror blacklist designation lists four possible dates of birth between November 1952 and March 1960, and three potential Lebanese birthplaces.
It describes his unit as the ESO as "the Hizbullah element responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of terrorist attacks outside of Lebanon."
"These are the first Hizbullah-related rewards under the Rewards for Justice Program in a decade," Sales said.
"The United States and our allies will aggressively target its terrorism infrastructure and financial support networks," he vowed, hailing support from U.S. friends.
But he warned that "more work needs to be done."
"Some countries have chosen to designate only Hizbullah’s military wing, leaving its so-called 'political wing' untouched. But that is a false distinction," he said.
"Make no mistake: Hizbullah has no political wing. It is a single organization, a terrorist organization, and it is rotten to its core," he argued.
The officials' comments will be seen as setting the tone ahead of Trump's announcement of his new Iran strategy, which will be aimed at rolling back Tehran's influence.
Hizbullah -- an influential force in Lebanon and key ally to Bashar al-Assad's Syrian regime -- will be a target.

U.S. Offers $12M Bounty for Two Hizbullah Officials
U.S. officials on Tuesday announced rewards worth $12 million for information leading to the arrest of alleged two Hizbullah officials – Talal Hamiyah and Fu'ad Shukr.
The rewards were announced at a press conference by U.S. Department of State Bureau of Counterterrorism official Nathan Sales.
“With our partners, we will confront Hizbullah across the globe and we will bring its leaders and operatives to justice,” Sales said.
“Hizbullah remains one of world’s most dangerous terrorist groups,” he added.
According to a notice issued by the U.S. State Department, Hamiyah is “the head of Hizbullah's External Security Organization (ESO),” which allegedly “maintains organized cells worldwide.”
“The ESO is the Hizbullah element responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of terrorist attacks outside of Lebanon,” the U.S. statement said.
Shukr meanwhile is “a senior Hizbullah operative” who “played a central role in the planning and execution of the October 23, 1983 U.S. Marine Corps Barracks Bombing in Beirut, Lebanon, which killed 241 U.S. service personnel,” the State Department said.

With IS Surrounded, Talks Held on Civilian Exit from Raqa
Talks for the safe exit of civilians trapped in Syria's Raqa were underway Wednesday, as U.S.-backed forces prepare a final push to recapture the city from the Islamic State group.
The Syrian Democratic Forces, an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters, have taken around 90 percent of the city from IS since they broke into the city in June.
The U.S.-backed militia has surrounded remaining IS fighters in just a handful of positions, but thousands of civilians are still in the city, some of them being used as human shields by the jihadists.
On Tuesday, the U.S.-led coalition said officials from the Raqa Civil Council -- a provisional administration for the city set up by the SDF -- were trying to negotiate the safe passage of civilians from remaining IS-held areas.
"The Raqa Civil Council is leading discussions to determine the best way to enable civilians trapped by Daesh to exit the city, where some are being held as human shields by the terrorists," the coalition said, using the Arabic acronym for IS.
"Those departing Raqa who are found to have fought for Daesh will be turned over to local authorities to face justice."
The RCC declined comment on the discussions.

How embarrassing. S-200 is as old as it gets. That should heve been the system that was going to be the bunker being built that Israel bombed.

Israel Is Hiding That Its State-Of-Art F-35 Warplane Was Hit By Syrian S-200 Missile – Reports

Could the Israeli Air Force intentionally provoke the reaction from the Syrian military in order to justify the strike on the Syrian air defense battery?
Furthermore, some pro-Israeli experts and media activists clearly linked the incident with the visit of the Russian defense minister to Tel Aviv saying that it was a nice demonstration of power to the Russian-Iranian-Syrian alliance.
However, something went wrong.
According to the available information, the Syrian Defense Forces used a S-200 missile against the Israeli warplane. This Soviet-made missile is the most advanced long range anti-aircraft system opearated by the Syrian military. Even in this case, it’s old-fashioned in terms of the modern warfare.
Despite this, the Syrian Defense Ministry said in its statement that government forces responded to the violation of the airspace and “directly hit one of the jets, forcing [Israeli aircraft] to retreat.” This statement contradicts to the Israeli claim that “no hit” was confirmed.
Few hours after the missile incident with Syria, the Israeli media reported that the Israeli Air Force’s F-35 stealth multirole fighter went unserviceable as a result of an alleged bird collision during a training flight.
The incident allegedly took place “two weeks ago” but was publicly reported only on October 16. However, Israeli sources were not able to show a photo of the F-35 warplane after the “bird collision”.

Seems the Kurds are more loyal to Iraq than to Israel and the US as far as what country they want to belong to.

Iraqi Army Retakes Almost all Disputed Areas from Kurds
raqi government forces said Wednesday they had achieved their objectives in a lightning operation that saw them sweep through disputed Kurdish-held territory in a punishing riposte to an independence vote last month. On Monday and Tuesday, federal troops and allied militia retook the northern province of Kirkuk and its lucrative oil fields, as well as formerly Kurdish-held areas of Nineveh and Diyala provinces.
The largely bloodless operation dealt a body blow to the finances of the autonomous Kurdish region, which had derived much of its revenues from exports of Kirkuk oil, and left Kurds in shock and disbelief just weeks after the nationalist fervour of the referendum.
Kurdish claims to the lost territories have long been a cherished national cause and their abandonment -- almost without a fight -- triggered recriminations against the Kurdish leadership.
Kurdish forces are now largely confined to their longstanding three-province autonomous region in the north and have lost nearly all of the territory they had taken since the US-led invasion of 2003, some of it in deadly fighting with the Islamic State group.

ISIS in Afghanistan is US tool to cause trouble in whole region – ex-Afghan President Karzai to RT

The US uses the Islamic State insurgency as a tool in Afghanistan, aimed at destabilizing the whole region, the former Afghan president told RT, urging the international community to convince the US that it needs to actually fight terrorism.
No action was taken against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists despite their atrocious acts being well known “since the arrival of Daesh [an Arabic acronym for IS] on the Afghan scene,” former President Hamid Karzai said. He then mentioned reports of “unmarked foreign helicopters” providing support to the terrorists.

“From the two years onwards to today, every day the local people, the local elders, government officials, media and others began to report that unmarked helicopters, unmarked foreign helicopters, would go in and support extremists in all parts of the country,” the former president told RT on the sidelines of the Valdai Forum in Sochi, Russia.

Moscow Has Questions Concerning New US Policy in Syria - Lavrov

The Russian foreign minister has also mentioned the mass exodus of Daesh terrorists from Raqqa during the operation in the city.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia expects Washington to answer questions on the US new strategy in Syria in a frank and comprehensible way, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.
"When we hear about the new line of the United States, the line, which calls for creation of some local councils on the territory of sovereign Syrian Arab Republic, it most certainly raises questions on our part. We address these questions to Washington and expect to receive an honest and comprehensible answer," Lavrov said after a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jaafari on Monday.
The Russian top diplomat has described the US-led coalition's actions in Syria as "some odd things," pointing out multiple cases when terrorists deployed in areas controlled by "opposition backed by the US" were transferred to maintain resistance to the Syrian government forces' offensive on Daesh terrorists' positions were recorded.
"In particular, there were cases of a mass exodus of ISIS [Daesh, banned in Russia] terrorists from Raqqa exactly when the US-led coalition was besieging the city. There were other incidents linked with our American colleagues trying to draw some lines beyond which the Syrian army should not go."
Lavrov's statement comes just a day after the Russian Defense Ministry compared the US-led coalition's operation in Raqqa, which had been under Daesh control since 2014, to the bombing of Dresden during WWII. The ministry's spokesman accused the coalition of trying to cover up the tracks of "barbaric" airstrikes that have allegedly "buried" thousands of Raqqa civilians during the campaign to liberate the former de-facto Daesh "capital" from Daesh.

https://sputniknews.com/us/201708221056699527-pentagon-assess-raqqa-strike/
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US-led coalition against the Islamic State terror group (Daesh) will assess reports of civilian casualties in strikes near Raqqa, Syria, US Department of Defense spokesperson Adrian Rankine-Galloway told Sputnik on Tuesday. Syrian media reported earlier in the day that coalition airstrikes killed 78 civilians in Islamic State-controlled Raqqa during the past 24 hours.
"First, CJTF-OIR [Combined Joint Task Force — Operation Inherent Resolve] conducts a credibility assessment of the reported incident. If a report is found to be credible, they will carry out a formal investigation if one is necessary to understand what happened," Rankine-Galloway said when asked about the incident.

US Now Admits Syrian "Rebels" Have Used Chemical Weapons
Source: Zero Hedge

From the first moment chemical weapons were used on the Syrian battlefield, the American public was led to believe that only one side could possibly be responsible. The constant refrain in the echo chamber of US government officials and the mainstream media was that only the Assad government possessed chemical stockpiles and the technological capability of deploying such heinous weapons, therefore blame for each and every chemical attack from Ghouta to Khan Sheikhoun was laid at the feet of Assad and the Syrian military.
And yet last Wednesday, for the first time, the US State Department casually dropped an important admission into its official Syria travel warning for American citizens: that the core rebel group currently operating in northwest Syria not only possesses but has used chemical weapons - to the point that the State Department considers it a major enough threat to publicly warn citizens about.
The armed opposition group, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), is referenced early in the document: "Terrorist and other violent extremist groups including ISIS and Al-Qaeda linked Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham [dominated by Al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat Al-Nusra, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization], operate in Syria.” HTS is the group now holding Idlib province, which it captured in 2015 as part of a coalition of armed groups given direct support from a US-led operations room in southern Turkey - this according to prominent pro-opposition analyst Charles Lister.

On October 22, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that they took control over the Omar oil fields in eastern Deir Ezzor, on the eastern bank of the Euphrates. Lilwa al-Abdallah, one of the SDF spokespersons, said in a statement that the SDF “managed to liberate the fields without notable damages”.
Pro-SDF sources also claimed that the SDF established control over a large area north of the fields, including Tayyib al-Fal, al-Qusayriyah, al-Khurayzah, Shuhayl and other points.
On October 23, spokesman for the US-led coalition Army Colonel Ryan Dillon said in Twitter that the SDF caught ISIS off guard and the terrorist group had no time to destroy the infrastructure.
Meanwhile, according to Syrian sources, the SDF reached a deal with local ISIS members operating in the oil fields area and the only goal of media campaign showing the rapid SDF success was to hide this cooperation. A lack of videos and photos from the ground and no damage do the oil infrastructure contribute to this version.
On October 22, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the SDF and ISIS are working on an unprecedented deal that would allow the US-backed force to establish control over the eastern bank of the Euphrates. The negotiations, which are allegedly sponsoredby local tribes linked to ISIS, would extend the surrendered area between the villages of Khsham and Hajin.
The SOHR has a strong anti-government attitude. So, it’s hard to expect that it spreads this reports in order to support the so-called Assad propaganda campaign against the SDF.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies, backed up by the Russian Aerospace Forces, advanced southeast from al-Mayadin and liberated the villages of Mahkan and Quriyah and advanced on al-Asharah. The advance took place amid intense firefights with ISIS units operating in the area.
An intense fighting between the SAA and ISIS was also reported in Saqr Island near Deir Ezzor. Pro-government sources speculate that the SAA Tiger Forces will be actively involved in the operation in the area.
However, it’s unlikely that the Syrian military will be able to develop the large-scale operation inside Deir Ezzor city and to push further towards al-Bukamal simultaneously.

By Brandon Turbeville
In early October, 2017, I had the pleasure of visiting Syria on a mission to get a sense of the toll of the war, the mindset of the people, and the general situation on the ground. The goal was to see the country in person, get a sense of what life is like in Syria today, talk to the Syrian people and hear their side of things; i.e. their opinions on the government and the “rebels/terrorists,” their living conditions, Syria before the war versus Syria now, and whatever else they wanted to share. We wanted to see the areas formerly under control of the terrorists and talk to the residents there. We also wanted to visit the areas firmly under government control and speak to the residents living in these areas as well.
Having covered the Syrian crisis for the entire six years of its duration, I had a pretty good sense of the opinions of the Syrian people and the situation they are facing as a result of numerous contacts inside Syria. However, there is no substitute for examining a situation first hand and talking with Syrians themselves with whom one has no prior personal connection as well as random strangers on the street in order to get an unfiltered response to the many questions we wanted to ask.
After having the chance to visit many of the places I had written about during the course of the crisis, everything I have written has now been confirmed first hand. I am now more convinced than ever that the “information” being spread across mainstream media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and the rest are, quite simply, complete and total bullshit. There is no wonder Americans are so tragically ignorant of what is happening in Syria and the rest of the world when the constant barrage of media propaganda they are subjected to does nothing but promote claims and statements that are in direct contradiction to the facts.
The itinerary of the trip involved seeing a number of cities – Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Tartus – and many smaller towns and villages in between.

Upon arriving in Damascus, the first thing that stands out is not the architecture or the traffic or even the fact that life has almost fully returned to the areas liberated by the Syrian military, but the people themselves. Many Americans, constantly tortured by media propaganda telling them that everyone in every foreign country hates them for freedom, religion, and short shorts, might be surprised to know that many of the people are intelligent enough to separate the American people from the American government even if Americans are not always intelligent enough to extend the same courtesy to them.
Regardless of the propaganda peddled to Western audiences, the Syrian people mark as some of the most welcoming, friendly, human beings in the world. From the first moment of entering the country, we were greeted by Syrian soldiers who, at virtually every checkpoint, welcomed us to Syria and then on to Damascus where the Syrian people expressed their famous hospitality. Everywhere we went for the entirety of the visit, we were greeted “Welcome to Syria” by soldiers, strangers, passersby on the street, business owners, and virtually everyone we came in contact with. The welcomes were clearly genuine. Everyone was obviously pleased and felt strangely honored that foreigners were visiting Syria and many expressed happiness that “tourists” were returning to Syria after six years of war. It was a sign that things are slowly returning to normal.
While Americans may remain under the impression that Syrians are obsessed with religion, wary and hateful towards foreigners (particularly Americans due to all our alleged “freedom”), I can say without qualification that this is not true and that never once did I experience any hostility from any Syrian during my entire visit. In fact, we were shown the complete opposite with myself and others being repeatedly invited to homes for dinner, tea, and coffee following a short conversation.

PressTV-US has wiped Raqqah off the face of earth: Russia

Russia says the US has wiped the Syrian city of Raqqah "off the face of the earth" with carpet bombing in the same way the United States and Britain bombed Germany's Dresden in 1945.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry accused the West of having rushed to provide aid to Raqqah to cover up its own crimes.
"Raqqah has inherited the fate of Dresden in 1945, wiped off the face of the earth by Anglo-American bombardments," said Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenko.
Recently, Daesh terrorists left Raqqah, their former “capital” in Syria, as part of a deal with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the US-led coalition. Thus, the US-backed Kurdish-dominated SDF announced full control over the city.

The spin (at some point in the future)will be that is is Damascus from OT prophecy.

Isa:17:1:

The burden of Damascus.

Behold,

Damascus is taken away from being a city,

and it shall be a ruinous heap.
