Spurred into action after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida last month, hundreds of thousands of Americans are taking to the streets today in hundreds of coordinated protests, calling for legislators to address school safety and gun violence. I was trying to find the post JLM had a month or so ago where he had the total. If I remember correctly his original estimate was 100000 but later found that was way low.
Still with 100000 schools that makes only 3%

These were all the marches in the US today. There were also marches in other countries is support. I don't think this is going away soon. The elections this fall could get really interesting.

DO tell , where has education been defunded? Certainly not in BC in the last 16 years.

That's what globalnews showed. Cliffy must have missed it or maybe because he is so fixated on Trump Canadian news doesn't count. Especially news that doesn't fir the dogma.

The BC Liberals (socreds) massively defunded education. They increased class sizes, reduced teaching staff and eliminated middle school. There were any number of teachers strike all of which resulted in being ordered back to work.We are currently dealing with a huge shortage of teachers that will take 20 years to fix.

Just in case you were wondering.

Oh, and they did pretty much the same thing to healthcare.

I see that the movement is losing steam in the media. They are chasing newer stories. Their attention spans are short.
