The right needs the left for definition and direction and it's same in the other direction so those who occupy a position between those poles rule, the right must traverse the center to reach the left and the left must traverse the center to reach the right. A toll is extracted by the center for every transit.
Why do idiots persist in highlighting themselves in "red"? Never mind I think I answered my own question!
The OP has been lied to as is evident from the title. The study did not link low intelligence with right-wing beliefs. In order to actually generate that link, we need to see a distribution curve of IQs. It could be that right-wingers are near the center, and left-wingers are either super intelligent (we call them federal Libeals) and super stupid (we call them NDPers). Since their are more Liberals than NDPers, the average is higher than it is for Conservatives.

I think people who listen to Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh.. or the Koch brothers.. really aren't very bright.
They're fodder for a specific type of 'Right Wing' and are being used to install an ideology.. which really isn't Conservative.. but form of Classic 18th Century British Liberalism.. a deterministic, atheistic and deeply pessimistic philosophy born of Calvinism and predestination... informed by Hegel and Darwin.
It's spawns have been Fascism and Global Free Markets as well as Communism. That covers most of the great crimes and holocausts of the last century. Those are brothers in tyranny.. born of the same ideological parent.
They just aren't smart enough to realize they are not supporting 'freedom' at all.. but greed besotted thuggery.

It seems I can easily summon one of the "red thumb idiots" when I feel like it. Reminds me a bit of my dog but my dog has a couple more brain cells.

my good friend,was over last night,she has extreme views on many things,such as hating jews,flys to b.c for surgery consults,hates female politicions, doesn't believe in food banks,etc but loves conservatives.
it was hilarious because she stated Premier Notley wears a murdering communist watch of a man name Chevron? from south america,she claims Premier Notley wears this watchevery day in the Legislature.she read out the internet article but was not able to come up with a PICTURE of Ms. Notley wearing this watch,i am still laughing at this,she is still looking for the picture,she really believes this.aren't conservatives funny?

Considering that they got most things wrong we should be doing the opposite rather than continuing on with the 'old traditions'. (like we have been and are still)
