To a measure I agree let me explain in context though.
Extreme right wing beliefs do range from small thinking
racism and other mental defects. Hitler is a prime and
wonderful example along with a whole host of others
going back to at least Oliver Cromwell.
Now look at the other side of the ledger Joe Stalin is a
wonderful of a left wing idiot ranging back to Mao and
the gang.
The problem is both left and right in extreme forms have
the idea they know the whole answer to everything and
their entitlement to pass on their enlightened view is a
cross they must bear no matter how much the rest suffer.
I don't think intelligence or the lack thereof is the domain
of any one side of the equation

Right wing thinkers are thinking with their heads. They can foresee the pitfalls in granting 'right's to every tom, dick and harry.
Left wing thinkers think with their emotions, live with their heads in the clouds and are totally removed from reality.\
Sure, in an ideal world we would all live in Utopia, have everything our hearts desire provided for us and get to do whatever we please. But this is NOT an ideal world. Sometimes we have to made personal sacrifices to be fair to the rest of the population.
