In our Clinical studies we found that Liberalism and Brain issues may be related. We found a solution. We no perform Optorectomis. IT is a process where the tube from the Anus to the eyes is removed. It removes the shitty outlook on life.

In principle, is there any real difference between a theological system of beliefs and that of quantum physics
Yes. Quantum physics works. Your computer has components that depend on quantum effects for their operation. It predicts things that are then seen to happen, it has led to real and useful technologies, and in general is one of the widest ranging, most successful, and accurate, scientific theories we have. Quantum physics is incomplete, as is general relativity, they're not consistent with each other, but the latter works in the real world too in useful technologies. GPS systems have to incorporate results from general relativity to maintain accuracy. They are not, as darkbeaver would have you believe, just a calculating trick with no basis in reality. Within their limits, which are very broad, they are useful, accurate, and successfully predictive descriptions of how nature behaves.

Cliff believes if he wills a pork sammich in his head it physically exists in an alternate reality and can manifest into this reality.

I wonder what study came up with this. Probably same psuedo science establishment that came up with Parallel Universes and other magical constructs of modern Cosmology, all induced through some mystical haze, and without an ounce of practical utility.

It seems this particular item is an academic product of the politically indoctrinated social 'sciences', which begin with a ideological assertion which is then reverse engineered to create a proof.

My question is does this apply to rigid, politically correct dogmas of Cliffyanity. One of the world's most puritancal and blind faiths.

There's no Magic in Catholicism. They are antitheses. Catholic dogma is founded in Natural Law and Reason, which is why its institutions were seminal in developing the Scientific Method based on objective and empirical evidence.

Here's a slightly different study that explains how complaining can rewire your brain for negativity, depression etc.
How complaining physically rewires your brain to be anxious and depressed : The Hearty Soul

It makes sense when you take into account that rewiring the brain with thoughts is what is going on when you do anything. IT's why CBT works.

If you're deep into religious studies and religion, its IS going to affect your brain. Look at all the muslim terrorists. Willing to blow themselves up because they believe so strongly in whatever the f' is making them want to kill and be killed in the process.

We have to Totally outgrow this abrahamistic religion thing.
IMHO, they ( all three main types and variations ) can easily all be proved untrue.

Voltaire: “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”

geez, sad to say, even most scientists these days should go into that same pile too

Lemme ask you this; In principle, is there any real difference between a theological system of beliefs and that of quantum physics (or theoretical sciences in general)?

Barring the obvious difference(s), all of the above rely exclusively on some element of faith in order for them to work

There's a quantum computer company in Burnaby whom has a working quantum mechanical computer.

Quantum mechanics work on scientific principles, not faith.

check it out. It's f'en fascinating. If you're interested check out Geordie Rose's quantum blogs. They will blow your mind!

I am a firm believer in quantum physics and mechanics, metaphysics, psychology and parapsychology. You are obviously stuck in in a worm hole.[/QU

"I am a firm believer in quantum physics and mechanics,"

There is no difference between fundemental religious belief and quantum physics Cliffy. Both are firmly supported by faith alone and have no demonstratable science as proof.
you need to update yourself with some real science. We have quantum computers. Adiabetic quantum computers at that. Google, Nasa, Lockheed Martin, a couple of US Gov't security, etc are using them as we speak!

You are seriously behind the times.

Which is why bread and wine Natural Lawfully and Resonably turn into flesh and blood.

Me thinks you folks are confusing Quantum mysticism with Quantum mechanics.

The two aren't even remotely connected.

In contrast to the mysticism of the early twentieth century, today quantum mysticism typically refers to its New Age incarnation that combines ancient mysticism with quantum mechanics.[11] Called a pseudoscience and a "hijacking" of quantum physics, it draws upon "coincidental similarities of language rather than genuine connections" to quantum mechanics.[8] Physicist Murray Gell-Mann coined the phrase "quantum flapdoodle" to refer to the misuse and misapplication of quantum physics to other topics.[20]

An example of such misuse is New Age guru Deepak Chopra's "quantum theory" that aging is caused by the mind, expounded in his books Quantum Healing (1989) and Ageless Body, Timeless Mind (1993).[20] In 1998 Chopra was awarded the parody Ig Nobel Prize in the physics category for "his unique interpretation of quantum physics as it applies to life, liberty, and the pursuit of economic happiness".[21]

The 2004 film What the Bleep Do We Know!? dealt with a range of New Age ideas in relation to physics. It was produced by the Ramtha School of Enlightenment which was founded by J.Z. Knight, a channeler who said that her teachings were based on a discourse with a 35,000-year-old disembodied entity named Ramtha.[22] Featuring Fundamental Fysiks Group member Fred Alan Wolf,[19] the film misused some aspects of quantum mechanics—including the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and the observer effect—as well as biology and medicine.[23] Numerous critics dismissed the film for its use of pseudoscience.[24][25]

I received a detention in grade 5 for telling my teacher that jesus could not feed 200 people with bread and fish. I know off topic, but those Christians i tell ya....

No magic involved when you get people to set aside greed and share.

1 orange can be shared by 10 people each getting 1 segment.

No, I grew up catholic and no I did not find indigenous enlightenment. I am a firm believer in quantum physics and mechanics, metaphysics, psychology and parapsychology. You are obviously stuck in in a worm hole.

Are you firm believer in Quantum physics/mechanics or Quantum mysticism?

How long have you been confused by the two and is this because of the brain damage you sustained from being smoked by a logging truck?

Water into wine is done with potassium permanganate, which turns water purple, and it is really water sterilization.
All the ingredients are in the dead sea area.

Just like certain clays common to the area will heal eye infections for anyone - even without a jesus shaped applicator
;)

Are you firm believer in Quantum physics/mechanics or Quantum mysticism?
A musical note is made of quantum mechanics and is also the gateway to quantum mysticism
Maybe try some shrooms and get wise eh?

In reality it's particles that don't actually exist outside of perception, while waves do.

Quantum mysticism is New Age crap created to sell books, CDs, videos and seminar seats.

Channel Ramtha the 35,000 year old entity if you are in doubt.

The History Channel, DTour, the Military Channel and Discovery all run conspiracy and other unusual shows. End of the world, Hunting Yetis, ghost shows, etc.

Most of them aren't even good entertainment watching them once. I think people get brain damage from watching shows explaining how Yetis eat people when they can't find a yak to chow down on.

Too many oddball shows on now with little entertainment value.

But it's paying someone's bills.

Considering that one can reference a mathematical equation that proves 1+1 = 0 or 2 (as is commonly stated), think twice about suggesting that current scientific facts do not have a basis of faith attached
