Absolute baloney. If so, practically everybody is insane.

The simple fact is that sexuality is not an absolute. Your sexuality, and mine, and everybody else's falls somewhere in a spectrum that runs from completely heterosexual (practically unheard of) to completely homosexual (practicallly unheard of).

So, a large percentage of people experiment with homosexuality in adolescence, even though they may be largely heterosexual.

Homosexuality is rampant in places where contact with the opposite sex is impossible (such as prisons).

IMHO there are many "causes" of homosexual behaviour, and they vary from choice (lack of an alternative, experimentation, or even the "coolness" factor) all the way to lack of attraction for the opposite sex.

This is not insanity.

Try to drag your head out of the nineteenth century.

Personally, I found his evolutionary biology answer, most compelling. Not since Mr. woodward, in 3rd grade, showed me how to tie my shoelaces, have I ever been more enlightened.

I conclude that Hogwild thinks it's okay to deny basic human and civil rights to people with what he considers to be genetic disorders. I wonder where he'd draw the line. Juvenile diabetes? Down's syndrome? Myopia? Maybe he'd include people he thinks are fools and hypocrites too (i.e. people he just doesn't like), as his most recent post here suggests.

Here's the basic fact, pig boy: nature has no ethics; humans do. Well, at least most of us do. Using evolutionary biology to justify discrimination against homosexuality is intellectually and ethically bankrupt.

Of the five political parties (Libs, Cons, Bloc, NDP and Green) only Harper and the Conervatives do not support ssm. So why doesn't he leave this issue well enough alone?

{BTW- The cons are only party as well that does not support decriminalization or legalization of Marijuana either.}

They are allowed to adopt and that opens up a larger pool of potential adoptive parents.

They can also make a deal to get a female to carry a donated eggand one of their sperm if they want biological children. Or if they are female go to a sperm bank and get impregnanted that way.

I am amazed how some people have their head in the sand on this. Who cares? Whose business is it of yours "Hogwild" what two adults do in their own bedroom or what kind of life style they chose to live? It does not effect you at all.

The mere fact he did this stupid thing ......rules him out completetely as he is showing his own prejudice here and that simply don't cut it in a progressive , nation. He is hanging on to some element that plays to a specific crowd........religious types and the redneck prejudiced types.

Live and let live. Gay people don't CHOOSE to be gay. They don't wake up one morning and say to themselves......gee, I is gonna go gay. So much stupidity surrounds the whole issue and it is contaminated by bias while these same folks don't eben bother to learn about this condition. First and foremost they are People, just as heterosexuals are. Like heterosexuals give humanity a good name!! They are abusive , biased and downright mean. Toss religion into the mix and then they are fanatical. Not very evolved /educated . fear of what they don't understand and don't WANT to understand.--plays a big part in this.
