my parent took us camping in Death Valley on the way to some where. I think I could camp anywhere as long as there weren't human habitation with in ear shot or eye sight. I just need to hear the wind, the birds, bugs, and no humans...bliss

so, how to you explain BC? FULL of trees....and beautiful spring, summer and fall...
I'm pretty close to death Valley right now. Drove close on the way here. I've always loathed the desert. I like trees, lakes and rivers. Those symbolize life to me. The desert symbolizes death. Especially the Mohave desert.

Canada begins in Nova Scotia we get the sun first, you get what's left

that's why there's no trees out there

The Annapolis Valley is another favourite, beautiful part of the country as is a lot of Atlantic Canada. It is on par with the BC interior, for sure. If you Westerners hven't spent time there, you should. It is beautiful along that coast, too. Nature is still in charge there and the people are the nicest in the country.

from your mouth to god's ear. I've always yearned to move to Ireland or Scotland where it is green. I've been a desert dweller most of my life but my ancestors were from where it is green, Seems like I'm drawn to that.

I'm even attracted to those picture of Great Britain that blacklump posts.

I never had the desire to visit that desolate place. I'd been to the Blythe, Indio California desert many times as a kid and it's all sand dunes and really,,,nothing else. At least in the sonoran Desert where I grew up there is some types of vegetation and actually ,,at times when there is lots of rain,,it's very pretty if you like desert. I've no clue why anyone would go to death valley,,,may as well take a vacation to mercury.

It is a false rumour started by the BC tourist Industry. The Beach Combers was actually filmed in Flarida. I don't trust you maybe I should visit BC.

I think Scotland would be fascinating. The history...the peoples who'd lived and died there...

1 reason I know of, is cause you're travelling. My grandparents wintered in Arizona. We were driving there. Get to see lots of interesting things when you're travelling by camper truck. Camped overnight and there was a guy travelling with lion cubs.

My sister tried to steal a jack rabbit. Nobody could figure out how she managed to get up so close as to pick it up and carry it around. I think this was the same sister who'd managed to catch herself a shrew...which wouldn't let go of her hand and so my dad had to smash it's head in while it was latched on. Good times! lol

Just the wonderment of what it's like at 282' below sea level! There were no fast flowing rivers. :) :) :)

Google earth allows you to walk down almost any highway in the world in a format that is pretty decent. The number of photos is almost endless. You should be able to access the traffic cams almost any place they are installed.
Now you need the VR simulator at home that would allow you to race a car of your choice through a course where you are the only driver. Right down to the potholes of that is your desire. Link up with your neighbors and go out for a night of drinking in Hong Kong. (having a 'team' see 6 screens in one location by 6 different members is a legal advantage or don't get caught'. Put up a cash reward for the fastest time in a variety of 'rides' that react based in test track data that is accurate and the tracks all share different levels so the one on golf carts don't get run over by some racing event. That program also has a flight mode if you want to fly over the Australian outback or the prairies grain fields. The simulator would be based on the trucks that do the hauls and the dust is included as a parameter, as are the roos.
Take a trip and not even leave the farm.
I see Black Sails has started a new season.
These guys are so drunk they they forgot drifting with the current is the right path.

Ireland has always attracted me just for its music alone.
