How do you tell somebody is from Sask and they are on the Island?? They go through 3 sets of brake pads in a single year.

Don't know much about any of it other than pictures. Some really pretty landscapes I've seen in pictures. Home is where the heart is they say. I guess if you have your loved ones with you any place can be tolerable.

Reading the comments here one might be forgiven if thinking that BC begins and ends at Vancouver city limits. There is so much more to our province then the lower mainland and the Islands, so very much more.

I hardly think putting labels about the environment on gas equipment is going to stop people from buying the stuff. Personally, I'd go for ones telling people how to properly operate a vehicle. It's all well and good to do things like this in an area that has public transit. Up here in the Heartland, our vehicles are our only source of transportation and will be far into the future.

An Albertan does the same.....but on their boat.

Need some gas receipts to max your carbon tax rebate?

well, for you obviously nothing, if you can't think of anything, I have a long
list, that's all you need to know from me, I was born on this coast in new Westminster,
have been on the island for more than 30 years, I love my province.
and I want to see the earth become much cleaner and safer, so anything we can do to
contribute to that cause is good.
I know that much of what happens to the earth is a normal cycle of time, but we certainly
have not helped that cause at all, we are greedy, self serving, and use this earth for our
own gain, without giving a second thought of the earth's health.

if it wasn't for 'what you call' limeys, we would be part of the u.s., now, to me that would be
a fate worse than death, this island I live on, would probably have about 30 million, full of hotels,
and tourists, none like we have ever seen, so thank you to our british friends for keeping us 'canadian'.
Hmmmn I am stuck in Tofino and need gasoline to get to the ferry , what will a warning label at the Co-op gas depot do to save the planet ? Will I not still fill-up and use as much fuel ?

Actually thank the CPR without them B.C. would have never entered confederation .

nope, I don't talk that way about the Chinese, and I lived on the mainland for forty years.

before one criticizes other nationalities, look to oneself and not people who
have a different color skin, and I learned not to call them 'chinamen' when
I was very young, its disrespectful.
What do you feel about Englishmen or Irishmen or even Canadian men?
Is it disrespectful to call them such ?

Pretty much the same in Tofino but that didn't stop them .

It wouldn't be disrespectful to call them Chinese men. Chinaman is just silly, as is Englandman, Irelandman or Canadaman

.

yes, much different, because it is said in a rude manner, always was and still is, just like calling
the Japanese, japs, I know that, and you know that, so don't pretend its the same as the others.

its not the words themselves, but the nastiness in the heart and mind of the sayer.

Funny I call my Japanese wife a Jap all the time and never with any rudeness implied . But then again she doesn't mind calling me a bod hopper .

Probably gwai lai or something .

Far worse than gwai lai or gwai lo.

To think other races aren't racist is one of the most bizarre concepts the self righteous PC crowds have conceived.

They also call us white devils and round eye. Doesn't bother me though. Don't care what people call me behind my back, it's non of my business. If they say it to my face I don't care. It doesn't mean anything to me.

What's a bog hopper?

Nobody thinks that only whites can be racist. That's a deflection used by whites to try and explain away their own racist thoughts.

Is it? Bringing the notion that standing up for someone who might not stand for you is deflection?

What is being deflected?

I had to look up what derogatory terms are used for white people out of curiousity.

Dog face - Japanese term
Mayonnaise monkey - Afro-american term
shiksa (female) shegetz (male): detestable or abomination in yiddish.used for non jewish people.

cool.

what I posted was: Nobody thinks that only whites can be racist. That's a deflection used by whites to try and explain away their own racist thoughts.

Ignoring the first sentence of my post in order to intentionally misunderstand the second is a dishonest way to find reason to continue to push your agenda that you think that people believe only white people are racists. Again, nobody believes only white people are racists.

No it's not. Like I say the self-righteous SJWs need wake up calls from time to time.

Out of all the races, where do whites sit in the ranks for being racist?
