80 percent of Obamacare enrollees in New York were previously uninsured

''One of the more lame answers Republicans had to Obamacare's 8 million enrollees was along the lines of, "Well, yeah, but they probably already had insurance so this didn't make any difference, anyway." That's already been disproved, with the latest Kaiser survey finding that six in 10 of the new enrollees didn't have insurance. That finding just got a big ol' exclamation point from New York state, which reports some very good news.
The report […] shows that more than 80% of the 960,762 people who signed up for coverage through New York’s health care exchange did not have insurance at the time they enrolled. More than half of the enrollees—52%—came from New York City.
And guess what? More than a third of them are those young invincibles, the ones Republicans worked so hard to try to get to boycott getting health insurance. Thirty-four percent of New York's new insurance holders are under 35.
What else you got, Republicans? Anyone?''

The Dems will not listen to any GOP alternatives. Just google it and you will see.

In the meantime the ACA is a disaster.

Worst President since WWII... the numbers are already there for you to enjoy!

yep - they sure are:

* greatest corporate profits since 1900

* highest Wall Street activity in over 14 years

* record job creation with recapture of all jobs lost under Bush (more jobs in total than under Bush's 8 years)

* ended USA involvement in 2 needless wars

* no foreign terrorism within our shores

* fewer American civilians attacked overseas than under his predecessor

* Obama has raised FAR more tax revenue

* health care reform has saved countless lives with MILLIONS more covered than ever before

Today’s jobs report was a very good one: 288,000 new jobs were created in June, and the unemployment rate fell to 6.1 percent, the lowest it has been since September 2008, just before the crash. Furthermore, we’ve now had five consecutive months with more than 200,000 jobs added, which hasn’t happened since 1999-2000.

Nixon followed by Peanut Jim.

Some would think.

But alas... Obama is the worst. It is a bitter pill I know... there was such hope.

Gaining ground!

Gaining Ground: Americans' Health Insurance Coverage and Access to Care After the Affordable Care Act's First Open Enrollment Period - The Commonwealth Fund

Gaining Ground: Americans' Health Insurance Coverage and Access to Care After the Affordable Care Act's First Open Enrollment Period

''A new Commonwealth Fund survey finds that in the wake of the Affordable Care Act’s first open enrollment period, significantly fewer working-age adults are uninsured than just before the sign-up period began, and many have used their new coverage to obtain needed care.

What do Americans think about their Obamacare coverage?

The uninsured rate for people ages 19 to 64 declined from 20 percent in the July-to-September 2013 period to 15 percent in the April-to-June 2014 period. An estimated 9.5 million fewer adults were uninsured. Young men and women drove a large part of the decline: the uninsured rate for 19-to-34-year-olds declined from 28 percent to 18 percent, with an estimated 5.7 million fewer young adults uninsured. By June, 60 percent of adults with new coverage through the marketplaces or Medicaid reported they had visited a doctor or hospital or filled a prescription; of these, 62 percent said they could not have accessed or afforded this care previously.''

Saving money and lives every day with ACA.
