Well then let's turn it around, how many of those 300 million don't have medical insurance coverage and who is responsible for that?
Can't people be responsible to get their own insurance?

It was legislated that all must have ACA a long time ago, yet after all this time, there is only buy-in from a tiny fraction of people... This is according to your numbers gopher

The take-away for me is that ACA appears to be hugely unpopular and it shows in the acceptance rate(s)

Prior to ACA there were 45 million who did not have insurance, not 300 million as you keep insisting on. Of these, 20 million now have insurance. Yet you persist in calling it ''paltry''. Links previously provided clearly show its expansion can be done by state governors - again, a fact that you continually ignore even though it has been repeatedly posted here.

And, as we have previously discussed, more people prefer to keep ACA than repeal it:

If you persist in ignoring these facts and in re-posting the same questions, I'll gladly repeat the same answers.

One very simple and basic Q for you gopher; Is it required, by law, that all Americans have health insurance?

Yes or no

I'm getting the vibes that Gopher doesn't respond to pests. -:)

So true.

Especially when the pest ignores my questions and repeatedly posts his. Obviously it is his concession that he has lost the debate since he has no answer for the proofs I have repeatedly presented. It is interesting how right wingers on this forum will use government stats when it suits them but ignore government stats when they don't. For example, they use govt stats to show high unemployment as ''proof'' of Obama economic failure. But when those same agencies prove that unemployment is lower, now those delusional right wingers refuse to believe the stats.

As for ACA = 20 million and counting!

Thank you President Obama!

Medicaid Obstruction Is Still Hurting America — Especially Texas

Medicaid Obstruction Is Still Hurting America — Especially Texas

Last week the President’s Council of Economic Advisers released a report detailing the serious health and economic harms caused by the 24 states that have turned down federal funding to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

Due to the actions of those states, some 5.7 million Americans with incomes at or below 133 percent of the Federal Poverty Level are being denied access to affordable insurance.

What the President’s report didn’t emphasize is that people of color are disproportionally impacted. This is wreaking havoc not only on public health, our nation’s workforce, future global economic leadership, but also on our nation’s fundamental principles of equality.

Consider the Lone Star state, home to the highest uninsured rate in the country ...

EXPAND MEDICAID AND SAVE LIVES.

Bill Maher calls out all the debunked GOP lies on Obamacare

Bill Maher calls out all the debunked GOP lies on Obamacare

someone must tell me why there isn't a similar uproar over all the Republicans who lied about Obamacare with no consequences. (audience applause) It's been four years since the bill passed. Has anybody come across even one death panel? The next liberal to tell a Republican, "you're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts", should really just admit they've never seen Fox News ... how come the rule for one party — the Republican Party — is that when they get caught in a lie, they don't have to stop telling it?

They said Obamacare would use death panels. It doesn't.

They said it was a government takeover, and the insurance industry is making record profits.

They said it covered illegals. It doesn't.

They said it was a job killer. It hasn't been.

Every Republican myth and lie about ACA has been fully exposed and fully debunked. But why do right wing delusionals still believe the lies? Because of their party's campaign = what they do is they pass a zombie lie down to dumber and dumber people, who believe it more and more.

And if you like your health care plan you can keep your health care plan.

And if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.

Such utter failure.

Obamacare cuts number of uninsured in California by 50%

Obamacare cuts number of uninsured in California by 50% | The Liberal OC

Before Obamacare, 22% of Californians lacked health insurance; after Obamacare, its down to 11% according to this report by KPCC Public Radio.

From the story: “The survey of more than 4,400 people by the Commonwealth Fund, a national healthcare foundation, also found that nationwide, the uninsured rate fell from 20 percent to 15 percent during the same period.

Recent national polls have recorded similar drops in the rate of the nation’s uninsured under the Affordable Care Act. A recent Gallup poll found that in April, the national uninsured rate stood at 13.4 percent, the lowest number since the organization began tracking it in 2008.

The Commonwealth Fund survey found that 61 percent of those who were newly insured said they felt better off thanks to their new coverage. And nearly four out of five said they were somewhat or very satisfied with their new coverage.

Obamacare is far from perfect, but getting uninsured health insurance, especially those previously denied coverage, is very important. Perhaps if Republicans had ideas on getting the remaining 11% insured instead of repealing a good idea over partisanship, they’d give voters an excuse to vote for them.
