Aren't "winners" invariably created at the expense of "losers". Obama certainly isn't alone in this creation! -
Not necessarily from a psychological and political standpoint. Social Security in America is unlike Obamacare. People believe they pay into a system and ultimately receive benefits from what they have paid in. Actually, most people who reach retirement age will ultimately receive greater benefits than the sums they have paid in...if they live long enough. This system creates the political perception of across the board fairness to all. This is unlike programs which are clearly designed to redistribute income or wealth such as welfare.
Obamacare is different than Social Security because everyone can see they fall into one of two groups...winners or losers...and in this sense the zero sum game is so readily apparent that it's palpable. Obamacare is a system designed to redistribute income from some groups to other groups. Everyone can see this. Consequently, Obamacare is clearly not in everyone's interest, and won't have universal buy in from groups who perceive themselves to be losers.
Obamacare didn't receive a single Republican vote in either the House or Senate. Thus, it isn't bipartisan. I wonder if true Tort Reform had been included as part of Obamacare whether the legislation could have attracted a few Republican votes. That would have permitted President Obama to claim Obamacare had bipartisan support. Such a claim would have lessened the political damage the left is now incurring. But Tort Reform would have harmed the financial interests of Trial Lawyers who are a major part of the leftist coalition.
President Obama isn't participating in Obamacare. He's more equal than others.

For the US to have Socialist health care straight across the board it has to be a State run insurance. This is far far far Right of Socialist.

Before one can build a new health insurance structure it is necessary to demolish the old health insurance structure. Obamacare is like a wrecking ball.

Hell, that's nothing new. In the years I worked for the IRS, I found dozens of people who had the same name and Social Security number. And this goes way back to the early 1970s. In fact at one time I saw the same SSN & name on record for three different people. Just imagine how many thousands of people have had their personal information crossed up with that of others.
