Our OHIP health care sucks massively.
I wouldn't wish it on IsUS

Elite Israeli troops rescue wounded Syrians from the world's worst war almost every night
They have saved more than 2,000 people since 2013, at a cost of 50 million shekels (£8.7million)

BTW: the 14 million that might lose FREE health care are those that are CHOOSING NOT TO BUY IT!
So that little bit of fake news can go out the window where it belongs

"MR. SPICER: Well, I think there's two issues that are important to note on that, Katherine. Number one, more and more Americans have no choices, so they don't have insurance. I've mentioned this before. Having a card and having coverage that when you walk into a doctor’s office has a deductible of $15,000, $20,000 a year isn't coverage. That's a card. That doesn’t get you the care you need. That doesn’t allow you to get the procedure or the referral that you need from a doctor that's telling you what you need to have happen.

That's vastly different than what we hope to exist, which is giving people who don't have it -- and let’s kind of -- I think it's important to add some context to this. If you think about the individual market that exists right now, the individual insurance market, you’ve got roughly 30 million people that exist right now -- 9 million people now are on the exchange. That number has gone down; 6.5 million people have said they don't want any insurance and they’re going to pay a penalty, and then just under 14 million people have said that they have applied for a hardship. So you’ve got almost 20 million people in America who have said that they don't want Obamacare and they’ll either pay a penalty or will apply for a hardship.

Those are people who don't have it to begin with. The exchanges sought out to cover these people, and we're finding out that you’ve got 9 million-plus who are getting it right now. They have no coverage. And for more and more Americans, they’re losing their coverage, their choices are gone. Tax credits in competition that will come in phases two and three in the prongs that we talked about will further drop prices down, will further increase competition.

I think it's 'very encouraging' that the people in the US are getting what they voted for.

We are!

I find it amusing that Obamacare is suddenly loved by all according to the MSM and Democrats when it was Obamacare that pretty much flushed the Democrats from Congress and pretty much every state legislature.

GOP Rep. Can't Recall Any Bill 'More Universally Detested' Than AHCA

Source: Talking Points Memo

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) said Monday that he can't think of any legislation proposed during his time in Congress that has been "more universally detested" than House Republicans' bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

"While I've been in Congress, I can't recall a more universally detested piece of legislation than this GOP health care bill," Amash tweeted.

Amash faced questions about the repeal from constituents at a town hall during the congressional recess in January. At that event, he advocated for a conditional state-by-state repeal of Obamacare to be activated only once state legislatures passed their own health care legislation to replace it.

In March, Amash said that House Republican leadership was trying to "ram" the repeal bill through Congress. "The problem actually is that they’re not working with Democrats," he said.

No it wasn't but it was a hell of a lot better that Trump care. If the Repukians had not run interference and force the affordable health care act to be watered down, it would have been better. Just ask the millions who now have no health care. To find the best you would have to go to Scandinavia or France.

So a law that has not been finalized or passed is automatically worse then the boondoggle that Obamacare is purported to be ?

Cost benefit analysis?

First, figure out the cost of one human life, multiply it by the number of lives saved thanks to Obamacare, then you can figure that out.

Brookings: Changes in Trumpcare won't save the 24 million losing insurance in the next decade

The current version of Trumpcare—the one negotiated last week by popular vote loser Donald Trump with conservatives to woo votes for passage—hasn't yet been scored by the Congressional Budget Office, even though it's slated for a vote Thursday. The thing is, though, nothing in those changes is likely to make the bottom line any better for people who are going to lost health insurance under Trumpcare. Any changes made to try to make tax credits better will be offset by the sped-up cuts to Medicaid, says the Brookings Institute.

We conclude that the changes made by the manager’s amendment will not meaningfully alter CBO’s earlier prediction that the AHCA would substantially reduce insurance coverage. While one provision of the manager’s amendment would slightly relax the “per capita cap” on state Medicaid spending created under the AHCA and thereby modestly increase CBO’s estimate of insurance coverage under the AHCA, the work requirement and block grant options created by the manager’s amendment have the potential to cause additional coverage losses that largely or more than offset this improvement, at least if states take up these options.
The change to the medical expense deduction in the manager’s amendment is likely to have a negligible effect on CBO’s coverage estimates. Some reports have suggested that this provision was inserted as a placeholder and that the intent of Republican leaders is for the Senate to remove this provision and use the savings—roughly $75 billion over ten years—to increase individual market tax credits for older enrollees in some unspecified way. Naturally, unspecified future changes will not be incorporated in CBO’s analysis of the current version of the legislation. However, given the relatively limited amount of money involved, we conclude that future changes along these lines would be likely to only marginally increase CBO’s estimate of the level of insurance coverage under the AHCA.
So, yeah, 4 million people could lose insurance this year, 14 million next year, 24 million in a decade. Still. That doesn't even really get to the awfulness of those cuts: the destruction of Medicaid. In fact, this whole exercise could be nothing more than the fulfillment of sociopath Paul Ryan's frat-boy "dream" of cutting Medicaid. And with it the health and the lives of millions.

Disgusting. @PRyan says he's been "dreaming" of capping health insurance funds for low-income Americans since he was drinking out of kegs.

The House is scheduled to vote on Trumpcare on THURSDAY, MARCH 23. Even if you already called your member of Congress, do it again by calling the Capitol Hill switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Jam the phone lines, urge them to vote NO.

GOP pulls Obama Healthcare Repeal and Replace Bill

'He just gets things done.'

House Republicans pull health care bill

Spicer Trump health care on the field sot_00000000
Washington (CNN)BREAKING -- The House has pulled the health care bill after failing to find enough votes to pass it.

---

House Speaker Paul Ryan sensationally canceled a vote on his Obamacare repeal bill for a second time, repudiating President Donald Trump who has threatened to walk away from health care reform if the measure does not pass on Friday.

House Speaker Paul Ryan met Friday with President Donald Trump to tell him Republicans don't have the votes to pass the GOP health care bill.

A key portion of the Trump-Ryan conversation was over the ownership of the health care bill and whether the President will take either full or partial responsibility over a decision to pull the bill, two people familiar with health care talks say.

Ryan showed Trump the numbers, and asked what the President wants the speaker to do.

The decision is largely in the hands of the White House, the sources say, and the speaker wants to make it "the President's call."

Efforts on Capitol Hill to sway members are ongoing, but things aren't heading in the right direction.

"Not good. Not good at all," the source said.

A risk to Republicans: if members are fully aware that the bill is going down, there's a real risk that that undecideds, undeclared and even some yes votes would flee.

"The risk is it wouldn't just be a loss, but a big loss," a source said.

Republicans are still careening toward a House vote Friday afternoon on repealing and replacing Obamacare in a moment that has huge implications for Trump's presidency and the GOP's hopes of enacting an agenda that will change the face of American life.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Friday afternoon that Trump has "left everything on the field when it comes to this bill."

But Republicans have few firm commitments from conservatives and watched a continued exodus of moderates. This was exactly what House leadership was worried would happen when they changed the bill, the source said.

Friday afternoon, moderate Republicans and members of the conservative Freedom Caucus have indicated they won't back the bill.

Fantastic. Hopefully Trump gets rid of this useless corporate shill, and we can get back to the business of #MAGA.

Ryan is one of the biggest swamp monsters of them all.

What a relief! Who wanted Obamacare Lite except RINOs? I doubt even Trump wanted this. I am glad this bill went down in flames. The GOP would have owned this disaster and the Dems would have been off the hook for the even bigger disaster known as Obamacare. Now we can watch Obamacare implode for a little while longer.

MAGA!
