Do you not understand where the 'radical Muslims' even come from? It is time people stopped beating a dead horse or things will never improve.

A mass grave containing the remains of babies and young children has been discovered at a former Catholic mother and baby home in Ireland, government-appointed investigators announced Friday in a finding that offered the first conclusive proof following a historian's efforts to trace the fates of nearly 800 children who perished there.
The judge-led Mother and Baby Homes Commission said excavations since November at the site of the former Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway, had found an underground structure divided into 20 chambers containing "significant quantities of human remains."
The commission said DNA analysis of selected remains confirmed the ages of the dead ranged from 35 weeks to three years old.
They were buried chiefly in the 1950s, when the overcrowded facility was one of more than a dozen in Ireland offering shelter to orphans, unwed mothers and their children. The Tuam home closed in 1961.
Friday's findings provided the first proof after decades of suspicions that the vast majority of children who died at the home had been interred on the site in unmarked graves.
That was a common, but ill-documented practice at such Catholic-run facilities amid high child mortality rates in early 20th century Ireland.
The government in 2014 formed the investigation after a local Tuam historian, Catherine Corless, tracked down death certificates for nearly 800 children who had died as residents of the facility — but could find a burial record for only one child.
"Everything pointed to this area being a mass grave," said Corless, who recalled how local boys playing in the field had reported seeing a pile of bones in a hidden underground chamber there in the mid-1970s.
Immigration is different than letting masses of refugees in. With immigrants we get to pick and choose. Canada needs people with skills in medicine, engineering, business. What we don't need is a mass of people that don't speak the language and only skills is humping camels or pushing an Ox plow.Neither do we need TFWs pushing down the wage rate. We don't really need more immigrants of most descriptions at this time. Maybe a few medical professionals but that's about it. Before we bring in more we should be trying to improve the lot of many of our own people.
According to the best available data (which is pretty good mostly coming from a comprehensive report by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2004 as well as several other studies), 4% of Catholic priests in the USA sexually victimized minors during the past half century. No evidence has been published at this time that states that this number is higher than clergy from other religious traditions. The 4% figure appears lower than school teachers during the same time frame and certainly less than offenders in the general population of men. Research states that over 20% of American women and about 15% of American men were sexually violated when they were children by an adult. Sexual victimization is tragically fairly common in the general population but luckily these numbers have been dropping in recent years.

Well, I can't think of anyone having to "put up" with any of that.

What about it. The RCC wasn't the only Church that participated in the residential schools, and the residential schools are not and were not the be all and end all of the world.
800 hundred clidren died of blnatural causes in one decade? ... That's about 20 x the normal infant mortality rate for the time. BTW, Why did the nuns stuff them into an old septic tank rather than bury them properly?

Look up the Papal Bulls from the 1400s. They specifically said, if the people of the Americas (and the rest of the world) were not mentioned in the bible, then they are not human and can be killed, enslaves and their land confiscated at will. Native Americans have been petitioning the Pope for the last 50 - 60 years to have those bulls rescinded to no avail. They are also trying to have the Doctrine Of Discovery rescinded but also to no avail.

and what would that do? Leave them on the book. Shows what the papacy did. Rescind and it can be more easily swept under the table.
There are literally dozens of articles posted on this story over the course of a couple of years. They start out claiming that it must be a hoax, before all of the archaeology had been done. Why don't you Google the pages and pages of links about this grizzly crime and make up your own mind.

I was stating facts in response to Mhz. I wasn't stating opinion. I also don't agree with the Sinixt wanting their status back. It would be like voluntary servitude. I am just a baffled by Indian politics as anybody else.
