Which is likely coming one way or another anyway.

Yes, ISIL has been successful. We can kill everyone but they have no achieved their purpose. Religious divisions within Syria and Iraq. They are now deep and wide, and revenge in the ME is as old as time.
Blood feuds last forever.

Iraq will split into a loose Federation. 3 entities, Kurds, Sunni and Shia.
If I was a minority religion I would move to where the Kurds run the show.

oh I remember when the use to do that with juevenile delinquints..no can of Off though.

A friend of mine was also given a pack of crackers. The crackers were promptly left behind when she ran into a bear...

You wouldn't last long up there in May and June without a can of Off, besides we don't want any charges of cruel and unusual punishment!

It just doesn't get any sadder than that!

My own personal preference is to declare war on ISIS.
I mean literally, with an act of parliament, not figuratively.
That makes Canadian citizens that work for the advancement of ISIS guilty of treason, no matter where they were born.

Why do you think the government hasn't bothered with a real declaration of war?

The guy that put the stopper in the perp who shot the reservist soldier was none other than the Sargent at Arms of the Commons.; a retired mountie, who has been in the police/security business for a long time.

Good on him. His brother says he is a great guy, but you wouldn't want to mess with him.

Guess not. What you would call a hero. Yep.

I live and work in downtown Ottawa. It pi**es me off that this happened but Im not going to let it scare me into changing my principles or the way I live.

How brave of you. Serious question here. How many Islamic attacks would it take before it would change your principles or the way you live? Two or three a year? One a week? One a day?

It doesn't really matter what the Hell you do, this sh*t happens anyway, Caucasians, Blacks, Orientals all have their nut cases. There was a case recently close to home where a young person died violently within months of moving here to get away from this sh*t. A guy who appears perfectly normal one day can "lose it" the next.

Seem to have only taken one act of terror for a couple of old vets that didn't want to put their family in any danger, return their licenses plates today at the Alberta registry. :(

I believe the comparison is to a mama grizz with cubs. An old grizz is slow and toothless, you don't appear to be either of those on this issue.

Unlike that Bear roaming around here, it has a red paw and is as toothless and claw-less as they come.

Today Canada lost it's innocence.

those too young or too ignorant to recall the FLQ days might agree...it was harder to make international headlines back then...if those french yahoos had been at that sh!t today a lot of people would be losing their minds about terrorists I think.
