The shooters are dead so that would make no difference. You cant go after someone without evidence, and after they actually do do something - chances are they will be dead anyway.

I live and work in downtown Ottawa. It pi**es me off that this happened but Im not going to let it scare me into changing my principles or the way I live.

Ive only heard of the one guard on parliament hill who was injured and rumors of another person who got a ricochet near the war memorial. Not sure about a third.

Had the shooter survived Id say he should have been charged and tried. Stripping him of citizenship and kicking him out seems pointless. He was born and raised here and committed a crime here. As was the guy in Quebec the other day. They're criminals and should be treated the same as any other criminal.

Normally I would agree. The thing I think might become an issue is that any punishment we could give them would create more radicallized religotards. By shipping them out and revoking citizenship, they can go and get themselves killed and we don't have to pay for it. Except for the umbrella they'd need once the door to the plane was opened. BUT if we bought the umbrella's from dollar store, we'd save a bundle!

Perhaps they requested that their identities not be released? I cant really think of many reasons why they would remain anonymous this long.

At the same time would we not be obligated to bring our 'radicals' back home that are over there causing needless deaths? This is a two-way street and not a one-way.
