Northern Ontario,
No, not at all. I've seen how your generation measured up. You created a cradle to grave security blanket and stuck your descendants with the bill. I understand you seniors are proud of that accomplishment. It's the main reason you deserve so much ridicule.

Semantics.

Well you said you paid into OAS, which isn't true. Semantics, of course it is, you were in error when you said you paid into OAS. OAS is a welfare program funded by general revenues. The government could do away with OAS anytime they wanted and nobody would lose any "contributions". There's no basis for expecting to get any of it back. Like I said, I don't. But I'm paying for it right now, just as I'm paying taxes for all sorts of other programs that others use and I do not.

If getting meanings right or wrong isn't important, then what point is there in communication? Blah bitty bloo blehch bah. Right? 8O

Yep; another facet of senior existance is when talking to each other we're used to cognizant replies.
Gotta say this frustrating method of communication has been missing from my life since I baby-sat my nephew's two year old.

I'm guessing hanging up on him won't have any effect on him whatsoever.

So if we didn't pay into OAS who did? Who provides the money for "general revenue"? Is there a cash tree I don't know about?

Because, JLM, In the great debating society it makes a difference if the money comes from the right, left or back pocket......there is no room for common sense......
When you make a deposit in the bank and ten years down the road you make a withdrawal + interest...is it the same money you're taking out???
To us it doesn't make a difference, but technicaly????

His bank account, AND retirement fund, is ALL from the public purse.

No, less than half (35% give or take a percent to be precise). I love how your arrogance allows you to ASSume the financial position of people you don't know and have never met.

I can only go by what you claim. If my post was incorrect, it's only because of your own lies.

Like I said, your hypocrisy is monumental.

Northern Ontario,
So you turned down your publicly funded pay cheque and publicly funded retirement package?

Hypocrite.

I like his dancing:lol:
