And my fishing rod!

I'm looking for a trailer,I can do 350 miles if the price is right if you know anyone with a good deal.

Bumper pull,20 foot is good,as long as it has a ****ter and shower and no leaks ever.
I know a guy who sells RVs. I'll dig up his card.

All of the creeks and streams in the urban area of Kelowna are under stress as well.
We have had some flooding but nothing major. Joe Rich on the way to Big White
ski hill are under considerable pressure though.
I live high enough up it won't effect me at all, but I feel for those people who are under
stress, I have a few friends who are in water here.

Winnipeg Free Press Posted: 06/26/2012 “REGINA - Saskatchewan has sent crews and equipment to help British Columbia respond to extensive flooding which isforcing people from their homes…. Three emergency services officers and aneight-person rapid response team began arriving in Chilliwack, B.C., on Monday.
Equipment sent includes almost eight kilometres of floodbarriers, five automated sandbagging machines and pumps.
Government Relations Minister Jim Reiter says Saskatchewan has a lotof equipment on hand from its own flood-fighting efforts in 2010 and 2011. Saskatchewan,B.C. and other provinces and territories have had an agreement since January toshare resources in times of emergency. It's the first time Saskatchewanhas sent assistance under the agreement.”
I hope the equipment helped somewhere.

I'm only 5 hours away, first me or my bud heard of this and he has a construction company that specializes in this kind of work with lots of equipment that could have been there in a half a day.

Long carriage, zero swing and floating hoes are all sitting here doing nothing.

Floating hoes? Is that a bunch of hookers who are into water sports?

They use them in the oilsands tailings ponds, they float on pontoons which are also the undercarriage.

Look at the size of those rocks! That must have been some flow.

I saw it in our last flood, when the ground can take no more water it's like throwing a switch, everything starts moving at once.

Somebody (cabbagefarts) recently tried to tell me water isn't the most destructive substance on the planet. Go figure huh?
I remember sitting on the cpr tracks with my elderly buddy haveing a cup of tea from our thermoses and watching highway #3 getting undermined and falling into Michell creek near sparwood. The cops were sitting on the highway with their loudspeakers on telling us to go back. They had allready turned back the rest of the crew we were with. When the pavement started dropping away in front of them they took off in reverse.
Not much you can do but sit and watch at that stage.
I saw a half a dozen bailey bridges just dissapear.

Nothing can stop water. It's just a matter of time before water wins. It may take millions of years but the victor is always the same.

Can't comment on that Kakato. Out of curiousity, I was just searching to see what papers/news across the country had articles about the flooding and came across the one about the Saskatchewan equipment. Course, don't know if it's true...

Hadn't heard a thing about the Shuswap flooding but did catch a news item about Sicamous. Here in the Interior of BC, July is starting off just like June ended.............rain, rain and yet more rain.............pouring as I write this. No flooding locally thank Gaia. The only positive note is that we aren't too worried about forest fires so far this year.
