I have always wondered why they had prayers in schools even as a kid
i agreed with the student raising the flag and taking it down and making
sure it did not touch the ground. I get that but I never did like the prayers
even as a little kid and hey my mother was a very religious woman and a
strong Roman Catholic dad went to church but he didn't get bent out of
shape about religion.
For me I don't think school is a place for religion period that is for Sunday
School and church activities during the week.

I think this is going the route of confrontation rather than finding a solution
though

We said the Lord's Prayer in school..............what's it take? 20 seconds? A tempest in a teapot! No one I went to school with suffered any lasting harm. Some people just gotta run their own agenda. As Pete so succinctly puts it............."f**k her".

Even when I went to secondary school, the day started with the National anthem over the speakers then the Lord's prayer but you didn't have to participate in the Lord's prayer.....but sitting down during the National anthem was frowned upon.....

How old were you when you decided you would rather play than pray? 4,5,6,7?

"Play than pray". Typical religious reply.
As if not believing as you do is not real and valid.
I'm sad for your closed mind.

That was when the Christian religion ruled.
Times change.

Nobody is stealing your religious beliefs, they're just saying , no thanks.
Can you accept that?

The principal of the democratic system is and has always officially been
majority rules and the rights of minority are to be respected.
Majority rules until the issue goes to the courts and when that happens no
one ends up happy for long.
Churches and religions have had special privileges and rights the rest of us
don't for generations and its time there was one law with no favors to these
folks. No more tax havens and no more its against my religion for whatever
reason.
In the workplace, or the society same law applies. Religion has become and
has been the God Business for far too long.

Wow, it must have sucked for you growing up considering all the animosity you carry around for anything and everything "religious". Especially since you read so much of your own bullshyte into any topic that is even remotely "religious". Maybe you should consider getting help for that.

I highlighted what you seemed to have missed in your hurry to attack anything Christian....
