Pope Francis' Holy War on capitalism and toxic inequality - MarketWatch

"Inequality is the root of social ills ... as long as the problems of the poor are not radically resolved by rejecting the absolute autonomy of markets and financial speculation and by attacking the structural causes of inequality, no solution will be found for the world’s problems or, for that matter, to any problems.”
-Pope Francis
Francis is a socialist. That must put a burr under gerry's saddle and Coldstream must be self flagellating as we speak..

We are well aware that the libs preference is to have the opposition remain silent and complacent at all times.

I agree with your assessment of liberals however I disagree that "we are all well aware" of it. I've been saying for some time now that Harper isn't truly conservative and have gotten considerable flack from the Harperites for even daring to suggest it. I'm glad that you have decided to back me up on this one. Well done!

Vatican City

Just weeks after official announcement of the beatification of murdered Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero, the Vatican has reportedly given a green light for the beginning of the sainthood process for another social-justice advocate known for radically calling on the church to stand with the poor.

The Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of the Saints has reportedly approved the start of the path to sainthood for the late Karl Marx, a key Catholic economic thinker.

According to Vatican Radio, Cardinal Angelo Amato, an Italian who leads the Vatican congregation, signed a letter Mar. 25 allowing the beginning of the process.

Who'd've thunk it?

Best April Fool's joke since the day someone suggested Christopher Columbus for sainthood. ;)

I bet those flowers on Karl Marx's grave were left by Ed Miliband.
