Ummm...no it isn't. You might want to read up on that too. Limited state of emergency powers have been enacted since 1976 but that is that.

During the Watergate scandal, the US Congress found that the US was still in a declared state of emergency since 1950 and nobody noticed. They recinded it and placed restrictions on when and for how long a president can declare a REAL State of Emergency.

At the time the Argies had an aircraft carrier as well. It participated in the initial invasion. Once the General Belgrano was sunk the Argies recalled their carrier and tied it up to the pier. They knew it would end up on the bottom.

The Argies outnumbered the Brits on the ground and the Brits whipped them fairly easily.

You cannot call Britain a bully when it was Argentina that launched the invasion. All britain did was take it back from them.
